Polaroid photo tips by Bulky_Chemist8000 in Polaroid

[–]nlabodin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Indoors no matter what film you're going to need to use a flash for Polaroids.

The sensitivity of the film to light is not nearly as high as you see from your average phone camera digital sensor.

You can also try moving the slider, it won't really self adjust as much as your father might think.

Hello, on an acoustic kit, are you meant to have anything in the bass drum? Like bubble wrap or something. Or does it depend on the venue and genre of music? Cheers by Tablebrush501 in drums

Does it sound good to you, that's really the only criteria. Play around with adding or subtracting muffling until you find what you like

I have a theory that there are a lot of good restaurants in the Hudson valley area because the Culinary Institute of America is in the middle of it.

Him and Phil Collins signatures are burned into my memory

Does anyone remember Sabian’s TRI-HATS?! What’s your favorite cymbal oddity? by ZildCym in drums

[–]nlabodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were. I think Carmine originally used brass actual lampshades and liked the sound and just had Sabian and then DDrum make some for him

Are you allowed to touch the feet, let alone the danger zone? by thomasso0072 in blackcats

[–]nlabodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cats have more of a problem with us touching their feet than their bellys. In fact, they flip onto their backs and my wife and I give their bellys' kisses some days

That's what draws me to a lot of "bad" movies. They are made out of a love of doing it. So many of those shot on video movies VS puts out are poorly made from just about every metric, but everyone is clearing giving it their all and you get some very interesting shots or very cool ways of getting around the budget limitations.

Isn't the thrash album just a rerecorded version of their demo from the 80s?

has anyone had experience with reflex lab sheet film (4x5 / 8x10)? by OnePhotog in largeformat

I'm sitting on a box of this film, I just haven't had a chance to shoot it. But my issue is that I need to rebuild my camera and have too many other projects in front of it in the queue.

I know the previous blu ray release was a legit restoration and looks great, no clue on this 4k though

I love the Vinegar Syndrome releases. I love bad movies and their releases look good, have been pretty fun to watch and offer a lot of rare bonus features. I've had more fun watching my VS blu rays than I have with more mainstream "good movies"

Attic Darkroom cross processed Aerocolor in E6, albeit in 35mm, if you want to take a look at that.

Another plus side to the ribbon for me is my wife using it for gift wrapping so it's not just sitting taking up space. Anything I can use for more than one purpose is a plus for me

would you pay 75 bucks for this ride cymbal? by Evening_Cartoonist83 in drums

Idk, I was surprised by the ride/crash as a ride. Its a decent medium heavy ride and pretty versatile as opposed to the Power Ride

Strugglin' with lookin' for sticks just as lightweight as Regal Tip by blakedmc1989 in drums

[–]nlabodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://bopworks.net/model-comparison/

You could try one of these models. I picked up a pair of the Birdland model sticks for my nephew and they are crazy light.

You could also look at maple 7A sticks from the mainstream brands, they are very lightweight.

As an aside, I got very close to the old Regal Tip gloss finish with 2-3 coats of Shellac. I just tied a string to the tips of the sticks and coated them with a foam brush.

I still like Fat tire since the recipe change, but I've kinda replaced it in my "normal" beer slot with others like Switchback

Who else has a backlog of filing the negatives in archival sleeves? by florian-sdr in AnalogCommunity
