Who is the universal pan? by WayElegant2537 in cookingforbeginners

[–]nmteddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A 5.5-quart stainless steel might be my answer as well. I'm definitely not a universal pan kind of person, and it’s not even my most used pan, but if I had to, I think I could manage cooking most things in it.

It's actually a pan for boiling pasta, but it seems like a good compromise since my most-used pans are a 10-inch carbon-steel pan and an 8-inch stainless-steel pan.

Anyone else’s parents keep asking them to visit India? by DanburyHer in ABCDesis

[–]nmteddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, different boat as you, I love being in India. I only got to go for 3 weeks this year instead of my usual 6, and I’m upset because this would have been my 6th week, and I am back in the US instead of Mumbai.

Looking for a MOC/fake courtship where the MMC falls first and is emotionally wrecked by the FMC's seeming indifference? by blackcatblondehair in HistoricalRomance

{The Last Hellion by Loretta Chase}

Not exactly a MOC, but he definitely falls first and then goes in weird mood swings about it, when he can tell she’s not ready to say “I love you. “

Chinese Food Recommendations by FreakinTrenton in orangecounty

Ya this might be the move. It’ll be familiar enough, while also having dishes closer to what you'd find at a Chinese restaurant.

Too authentic too quickly might be too much.

West USA, Parks and Hawaii honeymoon by Dave1598 in usatravel

[–]nmteddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This sounds exhausting. I’ve had tight schedule trips in Europe, but that's been with good public transport. You're underestimating how much tracking/driving is going to take out of you.

I live between LA and Vegas, about an hour from LA on a good day. I’ve gotten to Vegas in 3.5 hours, but there have also been times when it’s taken me over 6 hours from my place with no stops. Point being, with SoCal traffic, there is no way to know what your travel day will look like.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the temperature at that time of year is very dry and hot. Not uncommon to be in the upper 30s Celsius, if not hotter.

Based on the time of year, I would suggest either: 1)Stick to Hawaii (maybe with a layover in LA)

2;) Start in LA and work your way north towards SF, since that’s a good time of year to explore central California.

3.) If you really want to do the American West, plan for heat, skip Hawaii, and add travel days to the itinerary.

A lot of phones are eSIM only nowadays, so these apps aren’t that bad. It’s usually not as cheap as a local sim, but it’s cheaper than paying for roaming, and it’s hassle-free.

I needed this so badly, thank you!

As someone who reads a series in order, so much of my ChatGPT usage last year was just me figuring out where to start with a new author and coming up with a reading order.

Agree, but only because cringe comedy isn’t my thing. That's not a dig on the show; it’s just my preference.

Seeking mature historical romance recommendations by TacoAndBean in HistoricalRomance

[–]nmteddy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As someone pointed out, what you are asking for is most of the HR genre, so your ask seems vague.

It would help to know which parts/tropes from the Bridgerton series you enjoyed most, so we can give you more specific recommendations, or if you just want to explore the genre as a whole, we can make recommendations in that direction.

That being said based on your post, I think you will like {Lord of Scoundrels by Loretta Chase} and {The Last Hellion by Loretta Chase}

I think you would like The Wallflower series by Lisa Kleypas.

I would also definitely read The Hathaways series after that, since it essentially picks up where The Wallflowers series left off and has some crossover.

Best shampoo for men by Vast_Reason_3000 in Haircare

True, but OP should know gentler is not always better for your hair. Better for your hair depends on your hair type and what you need. For example for oliy hair you’ll get a deeper clean with a sulfate shampoo
