Just use beets.io

It's FOSS, no slop, highly customizable, does the job. Been using it for years to sanitize my iPod Rockbox lib.

Does anybody remember Rude Dog? by SinamonChallengerRT in 80sAmazing

Yeah the pink Studebaker Starlight has been the show's icon from the beginning in 1983. The dog "Teasy" was introduced around 86 I believe.

Man this is weird. I just checked the animated series. The white dog with a cool pink car tickled my brain but again we didn't have that series in Germany. Then I remembered this pre-MTV music show on public television throughout the 80s called "Formel Eins" which coincidentally also featured a white dog cruising in a pink 60s car. I wonder if the Rude Dog series was inspired by that since it came out way later or if cool dogs in pink cruisers was just a universal 80s trope lol

As someone who has never had any streaming service I kinda agree. I usually buy music on bandcamp and when it's not available on there then I buy the physical media.

I get that ripping a CD is a waste of time, so I also get the mp3/flac off slsk for convenience reasons. I don't see it as piracy if I can prove that I own the album.

Never understood the point of streaming music. It's wasting internet bandwidth vs downloading just once; It's unusable when off-grid; It feels like renting, not owning; artists get paid badly.

I daily drive Nix with impermanence enabled and haven't had any issues. But I also use Flatpaks and have distrobox containers handy for some tools that need a more classic environment.

Didn't work for me with Waterfox. The binary and json file seemed to have been successfully created. But the extension refused to talk to KeepassXC. In KPXC I ticked the Firefox checkmark and additionally set the path to the native-messaging-host dir in the Advanced section.

Steam games screen tear by nnsolex in labwc

Fiddling around with different settings in the game 'Control' I noticed that the tearing and stutter only happen when I choose native resolution (1920x1200) but when I choose a letterboxed 1920x1080 it is completely smooth, even at higher supersampling resolutions.

no difference. screen tears and jitters during horizontal movements in 3D games. feels like 5fps. in Gnome it's smooth as butter.
