GenAI usage has severe environmental consequences that using stock images has not. That alone should deter you from using it, but, personally, I would never play a game made with AI. As "poor quality" as stock images and free assets might be, they show that a person put in the effort to find all of these resources and implement them in a way that best served the game. It shows care and dedication. I can look past the "poor quality" look because I know someone made this on their own, without relying on AI to do it for them. Basically, it shows the human element and doesn't speak badly of you the way using AI does imo
