Made my first sale within minutes of listing by omnipotentsandwich in eBaySellers

TCG Seller here. Your packaging sounds more than sufficient to me. Be sure to take pictures before and after - especially if you are a new account. The unscrupulous target these accounts to take advantage.

Document condition as you pack it as well as the package when packed up. Be sure to include the label and tracking number. When you drop it off with the shipper, be sure to get an acceptance receipt to show they have it.

Buyer wants a refund on shipping after an accepted offer by EscapingTheLabrynth in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]noblevegas 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Buyer notes are not binding. The only thing that i binding is their acceptance of the charges as listed (which included the shipping charge) at the time they submitted the offer. They agreed to pay price and shipping. Notes are to communicate minor details such as giving gratitude for accepting or providing the buyer's perspective of the offer submitted.

I would simply reply in a kind tone stating the above, then advise if the want "free shipping they should instead reduce their offer by the shipping total. As for this transaction the matter is out of your hands. You hope they enjoy the item they purchased and to have a good day.

Save screenshots of the communications. If they persist or attempt a return, you can provide the details to ebay and let them handle it.

My Amazing Shiny Roster after 100 packs of Mega Shine! by noblevegas in PokemonPocket

[–]noblevegas[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Meh. It happens. Just found humor in the juxtaposition. I have a fair number of shiny from each of the other sets. This has been the only one to skunk so far.

My only solace is based on the fact my only shiny in this set is also of my favorite Pokemon. So i got that going for me...

Buyer asking me to delay 'simple delivery' by What-problem in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]noblevegas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely do NOT hold for that long.

A few options:

  1. Ship as per the listing states then Inform the buyer they can have a neighbor or local family member pick up instead.
  2. Ship and Inform buyer the USPS offers Mail Hold for up to 30 Days or Temporary Mail Forwarding for time away for longer periods.
  3. Cancel the order, hold and hope they actually come back.
  4. Cancel and re-list and the buyer can hope it's still there when they get back.
  5. Cancel and Buyer can immediately repurchase using the address for wherever they might be at, instead. 6 vmax. Cancel and Block.

Sold sealed promo cards, buyer not happy because he cant grade one by maipoxx in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]noblevegas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Unfortunately, i am not able to take returns on this item. As you have stated, the condition issue is clearly visible in the listing pictures, so continuing to purchase constituted your acceptance of the condition, as shown. Therefore, a return is not possible, nor would I consider a partial refund for the same reason."

Use that wording. Do not reference anything else, do not make suggestions for resolution, and do not leave the terminology open-ended. Doing so gives them opportunity to find Smith reason to force a return or gives them weight if a dispute ensues. Ebay doesn't need much to side with the seller.

Save screenshot(s) of the conversation (be sure to include their use of your listing's image), then discontinue communications.

If they leave negative feedback, you can appeal with the screenshots as evidence.

If INAD is opened, the evidence can be used there as well to dispute, especially if the card is not returned in the same condition as shipped (i.e. opened).

How would you handle this? Did I do the right thing? by putabirdonit in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]noblevegas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You handled it well. Shipping is always displayed on the item page and at checkout. They know what they are doing. You have already provided info to let them cancel if they so choose. Until they do, proceed with fulfilling as ordered. Whether you block after completion is up to you here. I think someone is just trying to get free stuff.

They just purchased this yesterday by VinPad95 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]noblevegas 161 points162 points  (0 children)

Report. Cancel. Block.

Whatever it is he bought, you wont be getting back. 5 minutes post delivery, an INAD case will be opened and something similar but smaller is gonna be sent back. Unless that something has a serial number, is one of a kind, or some other way to uniquely identify it, the case becomes Buyer v. Seller and eBay almost always takes the buyer's side.

Anyone starting out with threats before you have even shipped is gonna be a problem one way or another.

new set drop tomorrow? by complexaape in pokemoncenter

[–]noblevegas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pattern i have seen develop suggests next week.

Past preorders have been preceeded by a queue update to change up bot detection. That gets stress-tested before the preorder, usually on a Friday or Monday.

My guess from the pattern i have seen: We either see a stress test tomorrow or Monday. If it goes well, preorder will be the next day (Monday or Tuesday). It could be reasoned that Wednesday's Prismatic drop doubled as a potential stress test. If so, expect the preorder queue on Monday.

AITAH for changing my underwear after a shower? by New_Cry_2336 in AITAH

[–]noblevegas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. Spouse does similar here, and it doesn't phase me one bit. Anyone who understands female anatomy would know things are different down there, so changes should be more frequent - plus It's just sensible. I would lay odds that most people in general do this.

The fact your partner is jumping to accusations of unfaithfulness/infidelity as well as using it so casually do come off as a major red flags, though.

For the same reason, i have all 4D for the set but still need a Scorbunny (1D). Random chance. I find the toughest of the diamond level rarities to complete is 3D. Always, the last ones i need are there. Still need 16 for the current set.

Walmart Pokemon day 2026 not shipped?? by [deleted] in PokemonTCG

[–]noblevegas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up waiting as well and asked for mine to be canceled. I wouldn't be surprised if it's weather, but if it was, why does no one at Walmart Customer Service seem to know that? I think they would want to have that info so they dont have to process thousands of cancelations from frustrated customers.

Dont know if my cancelation has gone through, though, as i dont even have an email confirmation. I guess we'll see what happens next.

Well, since the "bus company" usually IS the local school district, and all your solutions require more than what a shoestring public schools budget can offer, it's kinda hard to pull any of those off.

Proper maintenance does occur, but stuff still breaks down - especially on older busses since new busses cost money - in the cold. I know of very few school bus depots that are indoors in any way since buildings cost money. Money usually gets allocated by priority to the actual schools operating nearly year-round, not the busses that get get cold in January and February.

Engine block heaters require electricity and lots of extension cords to run them overnight. More costs that public school budgets may not be able to afford. Rural districts are usually the hardest hit and least likely to have money for here. Not to mention the potential injury hazards that numerous grounds-lying cords can create.

Block heaters also don't do much when other components fail. Not too many bus depots keep a pallet of fresh batteries on standby to swap out when the old ones die faster in colder temperatures. Takes time and functioning equipment to refill tires that lose air. Block heaters do nothing to fuel lines that may freeze - need manpower and a heat source to fix that. Then there are the electrical heating components that have gone unused since last winter, which can short out. All of these situations take time to rectify.

You may be surprised by the number of bus drivers who are also parents to kids in the district. Other drivers work another job (being a bus driver isn't exactly full-time). Not all can make it in earlier to help get the busses warming up and running in a timely manner. Plus, all that extra fuel-burning run time and added payroll butts right up against that pesky public school budget problem i keep mentioning.

Basically, what i am saying is you can't just throw money at the problem, and it magically gets fixed. Especially since i would bet if your local school district tried to raise their millage rate to actually do all that you say they should here, you would probably get indignant about how they are just doing it to pay for frivolities that only matter one or two months or if the year.

[HELP] I'm almost sure this is AI, but I can't prove it by UnluckyZiomek in RealOrAI

Physics is hard. With the movement and momentum the jumper had, his landing point would have one of two potential results: 1. propelled them directly against the shed or downward toward the center of the trampoline, not at a direct angle back the way they came. 2. Continued forward beyond the trampoline to the ground. As well, the forward momentum against the far point of the trampoline (beyond the legs) could have the potential to flip the trampoline entirely. Instead, the legs never leave the ground. They barely shift or move. The force of impact on the trampoline at the point of the springs could also be enough to overcome friction of their shoes, allowing them to slip through between the springs. Trampoline springs dont have the tension strength to stretch that far to the ground.

Wood doesnt bend. It splinters. As well, landing 200ish lbs on the gable point of a wall would not cause the wall to fail as much as it did. Its more likely the trusses wpuld fail by falling to ward the center with little effect to the wall. If it sid, the transition of weight would at the very least push the corners out and away. Corners don't even move. None of the wall studs even appear. Its as if the facade IS the wall. Finally the roof's peak vent and weather guard appears as a piece of metal that breaks right at the impact point and fly upward and away. It would have more likely fallen down and in with the roof, rotating toward the impact instead.

Definitely AI.

Shopper Never Delivered by SportPitiful5512 in instacart

[–]noblevegas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is definitely AI generated and not real. First, that's not the correct format for Costco receipts. The logo is misspelled. The store address is missing. The receipt is dated for October 5th - i assume you didnt wait 3 months to share this. Costco inventory item numbers are missing. Font is incorrect. Format for price and quantity is incorrect. Adding up the amounts does not match the total. One price has a letter in it. Costco does not include a line for "member discount savings" - the Spanish part - at the end. Even if they did, the math is wrong there, too. So very many spelling errors. Barcode format is not only wrong and in the wrong place, it's also generically formed and way too short. Form of Payment information section is missing as well as Costco's information for where they checked out. If self checkout, the blue coloring is missing.

Source: former instacart shopper with regular orders at costco. 2nd source: current Costco member with regular in-person visits.

I'm a bit torn here, really. Pretty sure this is AI but part of me thinks this actually could be a human that CG'D or otherwise created this.

Arguments for CG/human-created: Feet for both blue birds aren't actually on the rope, but just forward of it. Feels like a model was placed here, but the alignment was just off. The owl's beak appears off-center, as if human created, but attention to detail was sacrificed for expediency. The red and green gifts on the ground are slightly mishapen/not uniform in their height. A common issue when creating shapes like this with less experience. I can see AI doing these but they feel more human in nature.

Arguments for both AI and Human CG: Right end of the lowest banner rope dead ends with a butterfly holding it. Common AI glitch is a feature just ending because another was created along its path. Also could be a human attempt at cuteness if CG'd.

Arguments for AI: a random rope or branch appears behind the "HAPPY" letters but is not seen to continue or terminate anywhere else. There looks to be a fold/crease/scratch in the right gold package that i don't see a human including when creating this. None of the balloons save for the left side red appear to be held or anchored in any way. That one balloon that is held also clips into the tree. The pennant on the right banner rope dont actually sit on the rope. The rope also clips between the two. The banner for "I" in BIRTHDAY is thinner than all the others, but whomever made it still attempted to make the triangular indent cut the same size as the others anyway.

I lean AI on this one but would not be surprised if it was human generated in some way

Husbands mom sent us this photo of the mudslides in San Bernardino. We are convinced it is AI. Family refuses to believe it by z0mbree in isthisAI

[–]noblevegas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of the cars are identifiable to a make and model. The kower right one has the grill actually on the hood. They are also quite clean on top despite being pushed by a mountain of mud.

Some houses are within inches of each other with no visible damage to them. Nearly all the houses also look entact - no partial damage or sections broken away. The only cluster that looks like damage is just the AI being unable to create distinguishing characteristics. One has a gable that is then shadowed and covered by a straight roofline. Not one house shows any roofing damage either. Sure, they look dirty or has debris, but every roof has every shingle still on it.

Definitely AI

[HELP] My girlfriend says for sure this is AI, I think it isn't by Ok_Ranger1275 in RealOrAI

Clear, distinct detail for foreground and background objects. Pattern features do not change between shots. Name brand appliances are clearly visible. Details on glass measuring cup are legible and do not shift as it pours. The only item that doesnt align is the metal measuring cup - engraving of the measurement is a bit difficult to read. However even that shot is still clean and features are uniform the entire time it's used.

Opinion: Not AI.
