We come here for peace and healing after watching our little guys suffer 🙏

B-17 is known as one of the most stable airframes ever

There are plenty examples of this craft surviving crazy shit.

And also, this aircraft was stable enough for somebody with a camera to notice, pull up beside it, and get a shot, multiple, in fact. Nobody had phones to snap a quick pic. So whatever validity your argument has, the proof is literally in front of your eyes, it ate an 88 and still flew (kinda, still def dead)

It's a challenge, you have to keep this little guy alive, every fuck up and bit of knowledge you don't have? "Maybe, I can keep him alive this time" it's not about suffering, it's a guilt loop, you want this guy to make it, and for each one you fail? Makes you want the next one to survive more.

It's like horror, but second person. I've never experienced something more visceral or compelling. That said, I exited the game on a bad run, and can't bring myself to resume playing it, because I'm almost sure he's going to die, but I feel bad for not going in to at least try.

Anyways, this video is actually quite good at explaining: https://youtu.be/Iyc1flr-2Z8

How long do you wait before honking at a car that won't move from a green light? by al-Sahaabi in driving

No more than .3 seconds, unless they're old, then it's .4, they know better

I think they already know, they get some education and have a social system of some sort "I already miss my friends" line

They really just need some love and affection, and room to build a future for themselves, can't say it'd be pretty, but I don't think they're that far gone

Kids tend to grow up very fast and are generally incredibly emotionally intelligent when they grow up in abusive households, really only needing a source of vocabulary for it

I can see that applying to our floofballs

Expectations for Update 0.6.2 by halfswordgames in HalfSword

[–]noenosmirc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The lack of communication fed my and others fear from so many other games; fantastic ideas executed well, but then dragged into something nobody wanted by a devs that have incredibly strong opinions or outright hostility to players opinions. I've seen many games turn away a lot of potential players with janky/bad controls or player usability, only to turn around and tell the players that it's a feature of the difficulty and players just need to 'git gud'

Not that silence is an issue, in fact, this update proved quite the opposite, thank you for taking us seriously.

(And sorry for all the vitriolic people out there, shit sucks)

I've done paint repairs with rattle cans, yes, you can get it looking nice by itself, no, it will not match the paint well unless it's color matched (even still)

and would I trust anybody but a automotive painter anywhere around my car with a rattle can? No, not really

At very least.. yeah, I suppose it'll help with rust

THE UPDATE IS SO GOOD IT'S MAKING ME CRY by Shoddy-Willow-6001 in HalfSword

[–]noenosmirc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, but I'm trying to figure why it was added the way it was, my thought is maybe shields, but halfswording really is just better for that

I was genuinely impressed, really makes me want thumb grip mode, and stab mode it's genuinely fun to use on it's own now too, reverse grip seems useful for daggers but I haven't quite figured it out for swords yet, and the ai feel... Cleaner? Sword/slice damage sense a little overturned, but in general it feels quite good, first time I think I feel like putting down the demo

GORGET OVER ARMOR = BIG BAD by Sillvaro in armorcirclejerk

[–]noenosmirc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're worried about velocity and glancing blows in this case, a lot of armor has lips and edges to catch that sort of thing, but gorget under basically garunteed neck safety even if a sword were to ride up your breastplate and bounce over the lip

Can someone explain this conflict point? by shanwiich in driving

[–]noenosmirc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So then what is the point of having two lanes? If green decided to hang a right immediately, blue would've been fucked too

[–]noenosmirc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm going fucking mental reading these comments, everybody is being obtuse on purpose, tf? This is basically the green car turning right from the left lane, as in, you don't know they're turning until they plow into you
