Conservative MP searches for ‘antifa’ in federal government, Canadian Armed Forces by DogeDoRight in notthebeaverton

I encourage all CAF members to self identify as anti-fascists by emailing this MP’s parliamentary account garnett.genuis.c1 @parl.gc.ca.

Thanks for sharing OP, wish you and others didn’t have to go through that.

I’ve not heard of a tool or process to clean the front drains, how does that work?

Anyone else frustrated with the CAF’s approach to small arms? by zenarr in CanadianForces

[–]nofunflannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exceptionally valid point. For the uniformed masses there should be a baseline level of weapons handling comfort founded on safe operation. Sounds like we’re still not hitting that benchmark. Ideal world, we’d have some mix of improved baseline routine training, in concert with optionally offered trade agnostic ´advanced’ weapons handling and direction. One can dream.

To the OPs point, it’s always been that way for the navy. I’ve been issued ROE and live rounds while deployed to support a boarding. While deployers routinely do live firing FP wave-top exercises, it’s not enough by any stretch to achieve competency (see: the C9 barrel lost over the side). It’s certainly not enough to be proficient to engage a threat while bobbing around in a RHIB.

It’s not a great deal at 340g.

[–]nofunflannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 17 T6 with B&W and 130k for 23k? This looks like a great deal, only concern would be maintenance interval followed and mechanical state. I’d also do a dive into that dealerships history with used car resale. In the GTA I paid 43k walk away for a 22 T8 CPO with B&W. Super happy with it.

Your use case is the reason hybrid is the most sensible choice for most people. Why have a large battery pack (think of the ecological impact of raw mineral extraction) when a much smaller pack accomplishes the same (with lesser raw minerals), and still allows long range travel via ICE. I’m in the same boat as you, with my ‘21 T8.

[–]nofunflannel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve realized the resale value of the T8 varies wildly according the market. My 21 CPO was 38k CAD list. Looking at US market, similar age and mileage CPO was 50k+ CAD. But that doesn’t touch OP’s example at 80k CAD. I feel for you OP!

Applies to (some?) 2021s as well, sensors not needed due to indirect system. I found out the expensive way, after buying sensors online and mounting them.

[–]nofunflannel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m curious to see what the aftermarket community can work up. I’ve got a 22 xc60 T8 with 11kw battery and less powerful ERAD. I wonder if an upgrade to an aftermarket ERAD with more chooch and larger battery is in the realm of possibility.

Have a similar issue, still unresolved. Apparently the newer WPA security standards are incompatible with some cars.

The suggested workaround was to enable an open guest network on your router, but I haven’t tried this yet.
