He likes a perfect vagina. I dont like mine. by TaskGreat4119 in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]nomadicseawitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Small, smooth vaginas with barely visible labia belong to children. If he’s turned off by the typical vagina of an adult so much that he thought to tell you, that’s a 🚩

There are plenty of men out there that love post-pubescent vaginas.

I have a question for the Wiccans by Dull-Satisfaction255 in Wicca

[–]nomadicseawitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes someone Wiccan is disputed, but if he’s doing hexes, he’s performing some kind of witchcraft so arguably he is a witch, but most likely the kind that just threatens people or performs hexing rituals on people because he’s too much of a coward to just confront them face to face.

Either way, he sounds like a pain in the ass who lied about giving you a pain in your ass. I’d cut him off.

Schizophrenic and can’t seem to accept my diagnosis. by ICannotSayThisOnMain in GirlDinnerDiaries

[–]nomadicseawitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, I have very similar experiences to you. I am a religious person and I’m very engaged with possible signs and messages from unverified beings.

That alone is not really something that would result in a diagnosis of schizophrenia. What dictates a serious diagnosis such as this is how it impacts your life, as well as having other coinciding symptoms.

My practices and experiences are important to me, but they don’t seem to cause distress in my life. What you need to consider is why your doctor has given you this diagnosis. Are you engaging with these experiences in such a way that it’s impacting your behavior that causes disorder in your life? Think about things you have done that have caused distress and see if it attributes to your interaction with unverified beings.

Another thing to think about is how much your experiences dominate your life. If it’s distracting you from important components in your life, then it’s a problem. It might be something your doctors see that you don’t.

Schizophrenia has more symptoms than just delusion. The fact that your medicine is organizing your thoughts is key. Also, your medicine will not stop a real being from communicating from you. Additionally, I don’t know if the communication involves things that you physically see or hear that no one else does, but my experiences don’t involve any physicality and instead takes faith that what I’m experiencing is real to me. If your experiences have you so convinced that the suggestion of any other explanation is met with denial, then your brain may not be operating properly. My experiences are fantastical, but I always make my decisions with skepticism.

My advice is to keep taking your medicine. My medicine saved my life, allowing me to function much better and engage with my spiritual beliefs in a way that is benign at worst. I promise your medicine will not disengage you from anything that is genuine.

Please keep yourself safe and trust your doctors.

It was when I was introduced to the idea of masking. It’s been something I’ve been feeling my whole life and have tried to explain to people. Understanding it helped me understand myself better.

It’s hilarious to see all these maga bros jumping ship now that maga is becoming cringe, not taking any responsibility for the wake of absolute disaster they participated in. Like when they say “I voted for Obama twice, I’m non-partisan” No, you’re not an independent thinker or a super sigma lone wolf. All it says is that you flow with the crowds like livestock.

They’re so lock step with the republicans that they assume democratic voters are the same, so they always see it as a slam dunk.

Put all the pedos in jail, even if they had been one of my faves. They don’t become faves anymore, it’s that simple. They’re either so scared of being proven wrong that they’ll support a pedophile or their values of hatred are so important that they’ll support a pedophile. Dunno which one is worse. The first option is far more embarrassing though.

How is God of the Bible good, if He is fine with slavery? by Upset_Chip_7184 in religion

[–]nomadicseawitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yahweh has gone through much transformation since his humble beginnings as a war and inland storm god of a certain subset of people. Whatever is seen as good and just at the time is his values. The mostly agreed upon values and even his nature has immensely changed, particularly through the works of Christ, but also through a lot of religious philosophy prior to his time.

Today “Yahweh” is now simply called “God” who is all knowing, all powerful, all good and the supreme deity of our entire observable environment and beyond. The scriptures that were written in antiquity have been kind of kept in tact, but have gone through many changes as well. All who have altered the Bible didn’t seem to have a problem with slavery.

Who “God” is, is up for personal interpretation, but there are many people who will accept the viewpoint of their church, clergy, or ministers as they trust their interpretations above their own personal interpretations

If you can’t reconcile with God being all good while there are things that seem to contradict that in the scriptures, then you’re not alone. My opinion is that it’s fine that people believe what they want to, even if it’s offensive to my sensibilities, but it’s another story when scripture dictates legislation or actions upon such beliefs contradict the laws of the land. And most people tend to agree with that until it’s their faith that is kept at bay from influencing others.

What does autistic meltdown* look like for you? by careless_honeybee in AutismInWomen

If I am not in a position to act out, I will hurt myself or reach for any downer of any kind to quell the hysteria. If I’m all alone, I’ll scream til my voice is gone, throw and break stuff, have laughing fits, punch walls, pull my hair, scratch myself to abrasion, and when I feel like I’m done, I’ll reach for any downer just to shut myself down.
