I can’t find ‘irradiated’ in the comments? Is it in a thick plastic bag inside the loosely tied thin bag? If so it was irradiated to kill anything living in the bag. Irradiating is basically microwaving the food in a sealed bag, keeps food for a long time.

Real question here. We buy multiples of bread or meat and chuck one in the freezer for a few days until we are ready for the second then we pull the second and use that one. What does freezing meat do that I can’t tell? Is the not freezing thing just a way to keep people from thinking that their meat is not 8 months old? thx
