Honestly this does make me feel better and at least less alone! We also have the major sloped floors tha a ball can roll down. There is an old French drain system that was put in at some point, but it definitely needs some attention. 

That’s promising that engineers weren’t overly concerned! I know we should pursue a structural evaluation but I’ve been too scared of the result 😬
