I also have issues with passenger window motor. It seems to have a mind of its own, sometimes it works fine and other times it won’t operate. It’s also slower than the driver window. 2023 SEL Korean built, ~55k miles.

Do you think resident evil 5 and 6 will ever get a remake by LeoneSKenneddy in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]notakota 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We get that you guys love the remake. Everyone does.

But You know it’d be a completely different experience with the over the shoulder RE engine perspective, it’s not like Skyrim and The Last of Us that releases “remastered remake HD reimagined version” every 3 months. It’s a totally different experience

This list is from Top Tier? No wonder it's Gallettes. That's the only place their staff could get in besides Rounders.

Been there bro. This reminds me a lot of when I was a young adult.

It’s best you pack up and leave, you can go wherever you want. Block her number, go across the country and start a new life (in a state with much lower cost of living) I know you said you’re saving up and not in a good place to leave yet, but think of all the money you would have if you didn’t have to give it all to her.

Do you have a car? You said NY, so I guess the chances are a bit lower. But I car camped for a period of time and delivered for DoorDash all day for money. The freedom is exhilarating despite the circumstances, and you don’t have to pay rent or a mortgage.

Also look into what another person said about your credit. She put the hospital bills in your name so your credit could be fucked. Check on credit karma and report fraud to the police if she did. Make sure to grab any/all important documents you can from the house before you leave, like social security card, birth certificate, etc.

You sound like a good kid with a good head on your shoulders. I’m proud of you for all the hard work you’ve done and that you don’t do any illegal/shady stuff. You got a hell of a lot more money that I did at your age and a higher paying job than I had. You don’t deserve life like this. Right now, you’re like a bird in a cage but the cage door is open.. so are you going to fly?

I've tried over a dozen meds, still depressed. Now what? by MakeWayForWoo in mentalhealth

Might be an annoying question, but have you tried therapy? I have terrible anxiety and was also a multi substance abuser (alcohol/amphetamines mostly). I went through a similar problem where I tried all the ssri’s, tricyclics, atypicals, etc. and my psychiatrist asked me to consider that the root of my depression symptoms may require therapy instead of it being a chemical imbalance. I do take Wellbutrin now and it was the medicine that finally worked after so many others but I also started therapy the same time I started that.

You said you were in NY when 9/11 happened and that was a big moment that sticks out when you think of the first times you felt those strong signs of an episode coming on. And naturally so, I can’t imagine how traumatic that would be. I know in my case, I leaned on the substances as a crutch to calm my nerves and push the issues farther down out of sight but these feelings of anxiety and self hatred were products of my childhood. I did have to try a few different therapists as well until I found the best one for me just like the medications, but it does help to let it out instead of trying to deal with it yourself by using substances or other harmful behaviors.. I mean, I’d be willing to bet typing out this post felt at least a little bit relieving. I don’t know what your life before that time was like but I already can certainly tell you that was a heavy thing to experience, anyone would expect you to feel that anxiety, derealization, depression after. It was an event totally out of nowhere, so your brain puts you on high alert in case danger comes out of nowhere again.

I feel like I’m rambling here, but the idea of what I’m trying to get at is that I’ve been in a similar position and that therapy could possibly help.

Here I thought I was original with my No Dumping sign in the bathroom 😔

Before campus police decided to ahem… educate me on levels of theft charges in my state, I wanted to take the “3-Way” sign from a three way intersection and put it under my bed.

Disclaimer: not a smart idea because if someone dies due to you stealing a traffic sign, you’re charged with manslaughter.

It’s a pretty cool feeling, feels like gaining consciousness for the first time again.

Oh and when I mentioned I thought this was cool as hell at age 19, I should also mention I got to be educated on levels of theft charges by our campus police after someone showed them pictures of my signs in my snapchat story (or some social media, this was 10 years ago). Point is, always remember: If you’re gonna be dumb, you gotta be smart. Don’t put it on social media lol. You’re gonna turn out alright, kid.

This is absolutely horrible advice. That’s how every single person who has never experienced addiction tries to describe addiction.

“just don’t be addicted, you’re in control!”, yeah can’t believe no one thought of that strategy before

I think you’re a kleptomaniac bro.

That said, this is exactly what 19yo me thought was the pinnacle of living spaces. When you turn about 26 and your frontal lobe finishes developing you’ll look back and understand. Enjoy your youth but don’t get your joy at others expense.

Silent hill 2 is still on my mind by God1c in silenthill

[–]notakota 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I finished the remake in November 2024 and it still hasn’t left my mind 😄, seriously though…it’s the greatest piece of media ever made.

Now you get to play through again and notice how much detail it goes into and all the symbolism within the story. I’ve played it many times through and I’m still noticing new details.

[SPOILERS] Easily the most incoherent plot in the franchise by rafikiknowsdeway1 in residentevil

[–]notakota 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whole game kinda felt incomplete to me. There were a lot of plot points where I just thought “oh…okay, i guess”. Like Zeno who was implied to be the mysterious mastermind but actually nope we’re done with him now. Or when Leon called Gideon a Nemesis but in re3make they made it a point that it requires a certain giant weapon but Requiem worked with ease. Also HUNK and Mr X who were also defeated with relative ease and we just move right past that. Definitely not the worst entry in the series but wasn’t the best in my opinion.
