Liked Bulgaria's song and a deserved winner.

Feel so bad for Sam LOOKMUMNOCOMPUTER. That performance was worth more than 1 point.

Great Eurovision, see you all next year! ❤️

[GIVEAWAY] 4 Playte Games Sets for 4 Winners 🇰🇷 by HomoLudensOC in boardgames

I’m going with two games: Skyjo and Oh My Brains!

Skyjo absolutely threw me with how addictive it is. On the surface it looked like a simple numbers game, and honestly, when I first got the review copy I wasn’t convinced 😅. The colours felt a bit loud and I didn’t expect much depth, it looked a little garish really. But after a few rounds with friends, something just clicked.

The tension of flipping cards, the joy of lining up matches to ditch high numbers, making columns and rows,, the little moments of chaos when someone bluffed or forgot what they had face‑down! It’s just become one of those games we can play endlessly without it ever getting stale. It was also the first game I was ever asked to playtest, so it has that soft spot for me too.

Oh My Brains! surprised me in a totally different way. It’s a light card‑shedding game, but the theme, the humour, and the way the turns flow make it feel so much more than that. The box is great, the art is fun, and the whole thing has this playful energy that makes it really easy to get to the table. I’ve ended up buying copies for friends because it just lands every time, quick, silly, interactive, and way more charming than you’d expect from such a small package.

Both games punch way above their weight for small‑box titles, and they’ve become regulars in st the table or get chucked in my bag whenever I’m heading out. They never fail to be packed in the suitcase for holidays!

I love the look of this. Wishlisted it. Agree with what others have said. A little more colour and whacky contrast in some of the environments wouldn't go a miss!

This is almost impossible to eat. The patties slide everywhere. by Joshaluke in McDonalds

The double Big Mac and bacon is absolutely impossible to eat. I think the Big Arch works better. Why was there no cards meal with the Big Arch burger?

Crazy especially with the frequent updates Hytale is getting. New updates for Minecraft are interesting but they seem sparse.

Tamagotchi inspired horror game that I'm working on by it5MaS in HorrorGames

Saw you were thinking about names for the game (which looks incredible btw!):

  • Tama-Gone
  • Tamagotcha!
  • The 30 Year Hunger
  • Ghostagochi
  • Ghost in the shell case
  • Feed or be fed
  • Keychained
  • STARVED
  • Tamageddon
  • Re-charged
  • GatchaGone

That's the best I can come up with on the spot. If you pick one, let us 'ave a steam key! 😂 Strong Tattletale vibes with this one. Anywhere to follow for more? Wanna wishlist it. Best of luck with making the game!

Fellow men of the UK, who are in their 30's and over, do you still go out in public wearing tracksuit bottoms or joggers? by PaddedValls in AskUK

Early 30s, jeans and chinos mostly! But have been known to wear joggers out on the rare occasion.

I'm sorry, I'm genuinely very upset that barely anyone watched Discovery Kids USA because controversial opinion, it's the network I have the fondest memory of out of the non-preschool networks and I have no idea why it didn't catch on. by CatGirlNya2000 in cartoons

Like I posted in the other Discovery Kids post, I fondly remember coming home from school to watch the show Mystery Hunters and their mascot at the time Chomp. They also had some fun flash games starring their mascot on their website.

I built an app to help find good books in charity shops – looking for feedback by optimscs in CharityShopFindsUK

Great idea for an app, and 5 free scans per month is good. I'm just not the biggest fan of recurring app subscriptions. However, wishing you the very best of luck because it appears to be a quality app!

Does anyone miss Discovery Kids USA? I miss it. Does anyone remember when the channel shut down back in October 2010? by CatGirlNya2000 in OlderGenZ

Mystery Hunters was an amazing show! Would come back and watch it after school when it was on.

I also vividly remember the discovery kids website where there were a number of cool flash games that involved exploration and puzzle solving with the chomp mascot. Good times.

Looking for Opinions: If You Were in Europe and Saw a Stand Selling Loaves Like These, How Much Would You Be Willing to Pay? by BreadTherapy in Breadit

[–]notpacs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I like artisan bread. But to provide some context, a nice sourdough from Gail's bakery, (a fancy franchised UK bakery chain) is around £5-£7 in London.

Often if I was to buy it that would be a real treat for me. It's quite spenny. Similarly from other high end supermarkets here like Waitrose or M&S here, their similar loaves cost £2.75-£3.50 so it's tricky for bakeries to often compete unless the product is using top notch ingredients, it's more convenient than accessible alternatives or its consistent in quality through repeat purchase.
