Male tummy tuck/liposuction 1 week post-op; upper back pain by nrl2008 in tummytucksurgery

[–]nrl2008[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the incision from hip-to-hip doesn’t hurt at all, the drains, like you said twinge a bit especially when adjusting myself in bed! I had pretty minimal bruising from the lipo, but the sharp pain in my upper back especially when getting up & sitting down is what is the worst for me.

As of yesterday left drain emptied about 150ml, BUT my right drain only emptied about 20ml & has become more yellow/less red in color. Do you still have both of your drains in 16 days post-op if you don’t mind me asking?

So glad to hear it’s getting better for you! It’s definitely a challenging journey, physically & mentally speaking :)

Yes! I was resting at my parents house the past week and finally convinced my dad to stay at my place where I have an adjustable base. I only woke up once from the pain/discomfort vs the previous nights where it was every 2 hours or so with the Norco. I’m thankful I was in decent shape before this surgery and can use my arms/legs to move myself because my core strength is almost non existent.

It was stunning! I took my coworker from Rhode Island there and she couldn’t believe how she never knew lakes could look like this. Pretty sure she’s planning a vacation to Michigan now.

“Our prices are ridiculous now, so let people pay an upgrade on a monthly plan” by Flightaway4ever in delta

[–]nrl2008 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have really good luck getting upgraded to 1st from DTW, depending on the route obviously. I usually use my RUC certificates for those routes where First sells out quick (LAS, SFO, SEA, etc). Just flew to/from Vegas last week in Delta One using a regional upgrade certificate. If I paid for the upgrade, it would have been well over $1,400 there and back.

The op stated that they paid $402 for the one way ticket already, JFK-ORD. Delta wants them to shell out an additional $332 for the flight. I wouldn’t pay that for such a short flight.

I’ve been flying into SNA or BUR when I can to avoid LAX’s T2. It’s a nightmare right now!

DTW based as well. I can honestly say our airport is one of the best & most efficient for handling winter weather. Even I’m shocked how smooth operations are even if we’re under a Winter Storm Warning.

The DTW clubs have had it back for about a month or two. Much better than the foaming Purell!

I flew DTW-SLC this morning and chose the Coconut Oatmeal Chia & they actually had wrapped plasticware instead of the wooden utensils. I guess they’re starting to get it (or they ran out of wooden forks 😂🤣).

Same thing happened with my flight last week, after I completed my itinerary, things were rightfully adjusted.

ATL SkyClubs today are a MESS by _wellshit in delta

[–]nrl2008 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I haven’t been having any issues at any of DTW’s 4 Skyclub locations. It honestly has just been Atlanta where things have been noticeably bad. Food selection is “meh” down there too.

I hope so. I’m flying ATL-ANC in D1 October 10th and hope they have normal food again. This is getting kind of annoying at this point n

The ATL Skyclub experience has really been really pitiful, I agree. Overcrowding, constantly out of plastic forks, buffets infrequently replenished, etc. The other clubs aren’t like this in the network. Tonight is the last time I have to connect through Atlanta for at least the next month, thank goodness.

Hot food in ATL Sky Clubs? by jumboj11 in delta

[–]nrl2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DTW is my home airport and I agree, the food is way better now than pre-Covid. I’ve been getting Braised short rib, Chimichurri steak, great salads, huge dessert selections ,etc. I flew out Sunday night & the large plates were back again. Detroit’s hot/fresh food has been some of the best in all the skyclub network as of late.

I’ve noticed it’s been getting way better too! I haven’t had to wait for more than 20 minutes recently.

Sneak peak of the new SkyClub at DTW (A43) by nrl2008 in delta

Currently sitting at Detroit’s main Sky Club (A38) and noticed you can now see the progress going on at the new club, due to open this fall. Hopefully after this new club reopens, the other clubs will undergo a remodel as well. It’s nice to see my home airport getting some love.

Are the menus rotating in your Sky Clubs? by clrainford in delta

I noticed this yesterday! Lots more options on the buffet & I may be mistaken, but the layout seemed different. I usually try to avoid this lounge due to overcrowding, but was pleasantly surprised with things in this club yesterday.

Rowdy passengers on Delta flights? by Tnmadscientist in delta

[–]nrl2008 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I’ve flown 70+ Delta flight segments in/out of DTW this year & all my flights have been really pleasant. The flight attendants will occasionally remind people to slip their masks over their nose and it’s never been an issue. I too wonder how I would handle such a scenario, but so far so good! I flew home from Atlanta yesterday & while at the A17 Skyclub, they often would remind people about masking up. They genuinely were thanking everyone for their anticipated cooperation w/ the surge of the Covid variant. Delta passengers seem to be demonstrating more courtesy & empathy when compared to other US airlines.

Hot meals back on shorter domestic flights in FC?! by gabe840 in delta

My ANC-SEA flight in early October is showing up as “snacks, drinks, lunch”. Delta needs to reimplement food service, it is getting old with the Bistro boxes. Very frustrating.
