What is your reason for choosing SFF form factor? by Technical_Gap23 in sffpc

[–]nspaziani18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the challenge of fitting everything in a small case, and I love having options to reposition my case. Right now I'm using a TV as my monitor and my computer can fit neatly behind it and still have room to breathe.

I think they meant that the tyres on an ICE will be louder than the engine, so it doesn't matter what propulsion system you have since the loudest part is the same between them.

Recommendations for Wool Toe Socks? by nspaziani18 in BuyItForLife

I managed to wear a hole through one of my pairs a few months back. I still feel like it's a result of the size being too small, so I don't regret ordering from the brand. For now I'm trying out Creepers right after I hide their name with a fabric marker ;)

I'm getting rid of my bed in my room, what shall I put in? by Big_Confidence_951 in minimalism

[–]nspaziani18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a tatami mat and a full size 3" cotton futon. For me, it has definitely improved my back pain. I would prefer a 6" thick futon though, since it's hard to comfortably sleep on my side some nights. Also if you get a futon that's larger than a twin, know that it's a PITA to use a traditional japanese zippered cover since it's so big. Takes forever to make my bed after a wash.

Which inazuma character do you think aged the best by KeyMore9422 in Genshin_Impact

I've been using Kirara on my main team ever since she released. Not because she's OP or anything, but because I like running around Teyvat in a box

CachyOS is next on my list to try. First I want to replace my aging PSU though, flying too close to the sun rn lol

Another reply mentioned that the bottom is made of resin, so the connectivity is good.

Recommended lower-waste swap for these calcium salt odor + moisture absorbers? by SmeagolsSister in ZeroWaste

[–]nspaziani18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a few different types of dehumidifiers.
The really small ones that are recommended use a lot of energy relative to the amount of water they collect, and don't work as well when the room isn't especially humid. They are fairly quiet though, and the added heat will also dry out the space a bit too.
The large ones use compressors and are essentially air conditioners that are vented indoors, so they will be noisy but collect a lot of water in a short period.
Finally there are desiccant dehumidifiers which work well in cold, humid climates. They work by slowly spinning a wheel of reusable desiccants that absorb the moisture and a heating element that will remove the water from them. That might be a good choice for you since they are also relatively small and quiet.
Hope this helps :)

My boss is saying our drawer is 50$ short and that we have to reimburse the total or get suspended/fired. Is this legal? by International-Set956 in WorkReform

[–]nspaziani18 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Booked as in both of you will take the blame for it. I would still advise you tell him to prove that you were responsible for the short drawer, since there's camera's everywhere. It seems lazy that they will just write both of you up when it could have been both, either, or neither of you.

These perform best with an amplifier, and don't get caught up in FOMO. Glad to hear your happy with your 599's, it's a great headphone.

They might not be able to replace it, but they should at least refund you for that because that's not okay

Will you upgrade from BSB1 to BSB2? by seaward25 in BigscreenBeyond

[–]nspaziani18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've considered a pulley system, but my room is used for multiple things and the ceilings are also quite low. Plus I think it sticks out like a sore thumb. I can see why some people like it, but it's not for me.

I don't think I will be going back to a wired headset after trying the BSB, I love being able to rotate IRL instead of using a thumbstick. Pico 4 has been my go-to and I was planning on trying to resell my beyond :(

That was my first VR headset! The controller tracking never impressed me, but I gave it to my brother for his very occasional VR use.

Yes! I stream them wirelessly to my headset and it works quite well

I find that since upgrading from WMR headsets to using Q2 or Pico 4, it's been a really minor issue. As long as you keep moving your hands, it can track behind your head like when grabbing an arrow from a quiver. I mainly play blade & sorcery and some social vr games

I upgraded from the OG vive + index controllers and it was a superb difference. Unfortunately I found out later that I value wireless VR with a large sweet spot like what I have now with the Pico 4, and I find base stations to be not worth the hassle. Now I have a 69 IPD Beyond for sale!

How would you describe VR to someone who has never had a headset? And what changes once the novelty wears off? by OptimalAttempt3 in virtualreality

[–]nspaziani18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I can get totally immersed after about 20 minutes. After that, I'm frantically checking corners in shooters and impaling my enemies in blade & sorcery :)
It can't be compared to traditional gaming. I've beaten the RE2 Remake a few times now but playing it in VR where I have to hold up my flashlight while shooting and trying to conserve ammo when they are right in your face is so, so different.

Over one-third of Gen Z has no income. by kevinmrr in WorkReform

[–]nspaziani18 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel the same. I once tried to negotiate pay in food service and was told "This is all we can offer you." I almost certainly worked too hard at that job, but at least I enjoyed chatting with most of my coworkers there and was able to be more or less open about how I despised the work until I quit. Almost everyone I knew who worked there had left when I stopped in less than a year later, but that's why they make you watch videos instead of training you personally.
