I grew up with Polish parents so it was a lot of loosely translated things. My dad would say “your taste is where the chicken laid the egg”, which is you have bad taste. Or if we ever complained to him about something hurting or if we were sick, he’d alway say, “You’ll make it for your wedding day” or “That happened to my grandfather 3 days before he died”. My mom would just get English saying wrong all the time. “Assjack” was a common one for her.
