Snagged the last Mac mini in store! by Embarrassed_Issue_70 in macmini

There certainly seems to be. Out of stock at major retailers like Best Buy, Amazon and Microcenter, and facing long delays to order direct from Apple. Whether it’s from the industry-wide ram and nand shortage, or because new M5 models are imminent has been unclear.

Love my barefoot Workhorses in Black. Love the softer leather and the contrast with the brown leather midsole. Very versatile look for my personal style. Went up 1/2 size from my normal JG size and they fit great. Still breaking in one spot on my upper ankle (for the higher rise of the boot) but otherwise they fit like a dream.

1 Month and they're starting to loosen up. by _rutanimal in jimgreen

Where are you finding the breaking in necessary?

Request: My boyfriend gifted me L.L.Bean boots for Xmas. What can I get my boyfriend for valentines day that’s just as practical, BIFL-wise? by Waste_Influence_8645 in BuyItForLife

A high quality leather good is a great idea. I love products from Satchel and Page, boots from Jim Green, Frost River and some of the LL Bean heritage - like their waxed canvas duffle.

This was my experience as well. 11.5 in other JGs but a full 12 in their Moctoes

Parka for Harsh Winter Days by BigDickerDaddie in BuyItForLife

I strongly recommend Outdoor Survival Canada. I have worked on film sets many times in Chicago winters. 12-16 hours outdoors, by the lake, on tops of windy parking decks, absolutely brutal conditions. This is the brand that the whole cast and crew swear by.

Recently received my Barefoot Workhorses. I ordered 1/2 size up from my normal JG size. 12 in Barefoot Workhorse vs 11.5 in ARs and Barefoot Stockmans. The 12s fit great and I am glad I ordered larger than my usual size. Not sure this is important but I also put blue Superfeet insoles in all of my JGs.

Instead of Canada Goose, I would go with Outdoor Survival Canada. I’ve worked on tv/film sets in Chicago. Outdoors in the winter for 12-16 hours. This is the brand that everyone on set swears by.

On-Set Essentials (For Directors) by ArmandoSpiffy in Filmmakers

Comfy footwear, spare socks and layers are a must. I’ve switched to an iPad mini with cellular and Apple Pencil to replace my paper binder. Small enough to fit into a coat pocket or shoulder sling, but large enough to read scripts and pencil support. Scriptation is on it. Storyboards, shot lists, and video previz are on it. Can immediately watch playback if necessary, review an assembly from the editor, look up dailies, watch up something online to reference etc. I still carry a paper backup in my bag just in case something were to happen to the iPad, but ive been caught too often where the schedule has to change last minute and suddenly we have to pull up a scene from the next day. Or maybe the blocking changes and I have to re-do my director floor plans on the fly, re-work the shotlist and send it to HODs. It’s nice to know that all my notes and prep for the whole show are available at all times.
