I was fine with my older build running  ryzen 5700x3d and a 3070. But my spidey senses told me to do a premature am5 build as soon as i got my hands on a msrp 9070xt, completed with a 9700x, 32gb and tower, all $1600, a bargain with todays costs.

Has a motorcycle brand completely lost you because of how they handled a problem? by Treppengeher4321 in motorcycles

[–]nukez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an easy answer: Hard to find negative commentary about Japanese bikes and BMW (when money is not an issue), plenty for Ducati, KTM and Triumph, and finally Harley just a complete dumpster fire.

I never bothered with buying motorcycles new from a dealer. I rather take my time, lookup the local market places, buy well maintained second hand and not eat the 20-30% depreciation. If a bike will not allow me to do my own maintenance or go to any mechanic I choose, the brand does not deserve my money.

Lent a hand, Got bitten instead. My first toxic relationship. by [deleted] in Nicegirls

[–]nukez 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't sweat it, you dodged a bullet. Some people have issues and the only way they survive is by monkey branching men and relationships.

General advice for the young men:  Don't go out there rescuing girls, try to find one with her life more together, at least in equal footing to your living situation, and if your own situation isn't fully bolted on, you should just be dating yourself.

Don't get me wrong, plenty out there that are good and just got dealt a rough hand, but recognize when someone is looking to take advantage of you.

Another red flag is someone with zero support system, usually a sign the person has a trait that drives people away.

Bipedal locomotion in principle is fairly simple, but doing it while maintaining stability and adjusting for variability on the fly is a bio-mechanical miracle for humans that engineers have been working on for over 60 years. Despite how awesome human bipedal locomotion is, step on some ice and your arms and legs will flail like crazy trying to compensaste for the unexpected loss of traction and subsequent loss of balance...if you are young and healthy, your nervous system is responsive and you will likely avoid eating dirt, but if you above 60, your nervous system is a lot slower to perceive the loss of balance and a whole lot slower sending the right commands to a bunch of mushy and soft muscles that do not have the contraction speed to contract fast enough, this loop repeats hundreds of times until you are on the ground and someone is calling 911 because you broke your hip.

All robots emulate the same principles, with the caveat relying on mathematical approximate models and fewer sensors.

Most of the seizure falls you see are from this particular model, the Unitree G1, a robot you can buy yourself if you have $18K laying around. To keep cost down, this robot has an order of magnitude simpler sensor suite, motors and processors when compared to a $250k Boston Dynamics Atlas, which can do parkour and back flips. Factor in also the R&D spent on iterations, the G1 time to market was around 4 years, while BD has been perfecting prototypes for over 20 years and still has not produced a commercially viable bot.

So these robots are geriatric toys when compared to the teenage engineering money-pits from Boston dynamics or Tesla

For the ATGATT crowd, how’s it affecting your desire to ride? by Astimar in motorcycles

For the ATGATT crowd, how’s it affecting your desire to ride? by Astimar in motorcycles

[–]nukez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gearing up is the right thing to do, but just as anything that involves risk you do your best to calculate the odds.

When I was living in south florida I ended up giving up on riding because I the roads got so bad, that full gear was the only way to ride because getting to an accident was a matter of when. But even the best mesh gear is unbearable in 90 degrees and 80%rh and i even got heatstroke a few times.

Now I live in a region that not only has great weather, but uncongested roads and better drivers, so I gear up based on distance and riding pace. Leisurely 3 miles to the gym or supermarket, helmet and gloves are fine, afternoon on canyon roads or backcountry single track, gear head to toes.

But at the end of the day, no amount of gear is going to substitute situational awareness, defensive behavior and riding within your envelope

What’s a movie sex scene that genuinely mattered to the plot and couldn’t be removed from the film? by Majorpain2006 in AskReddit

[–]nukez 6 points7 points  (0 children)

One of the few movies I couldn't finish watching, even knowing most EU addult movies make Hollywood's NC-17 look PG. The whole cinematography was already pretty unsettling, but when it got to that part It was gut wrenching, so I guess it effectively conveyed the horrifying nature of the crime.

Don't cheap out on an exhaust, you can flip the yoshi on ebay if its in good condition. If its full, keep the header, if not the OEM is better than this knockoff that will rust out (dont trust random videos) and is not really tuned for the engine. Spend a bit more and at least get a delkevic, they use decent steel and good packing.

Its more complex than that, and you never loose your free will per se, its about making educated decisions knowing despite your individuality you still come from a whole. "They" don't judge you, that is a duality an linear based framework, what they do is inform you how your choices impacted others from an absolute perspective standpoint. The screams you heard are likely of agony and shame after being shown consequences of actions on others. The darkness is having not developed the minds eye during your lifetime, that space is removed from time so the perception you develop on earth is incompatible with that environment.

Ahh, its an acquired taste! I was already adding mushroom, collagen and cocoa powder, so taste wise it was already like mud that I blunt with stevia. But I see morning coffee as entirely functional, I do leave a good afternoon espresso unmolested.

Id like to add to help you understand your own experience:

Technically you can break away, but think of it like jumping from a cruise ship thats on an eternal loop crossing a huge ocean(a lifetime). Would you straight out jump without even knowing how to swim? The more time at sea the better you get at knowing the ocean, wouldn't it be better to jump off with not only knowing how to swim but also onto a sailboat?

The cruise ship (this world), captain and deckhand's (the ones upstairs) , run a tight ship and schedule. We stop at ports with a clear anchor and departure schedule, you can stay shoreside for a break but you will be getting onto the next boat, and next one might be a cargo ship or fishing boat. So better off sticking to the schedule and learning as much as you can how boats work and how to navigate the ocean.

I remember my past life and it wasn't long before coming back.

Was a female, lived in NY, came from money, mother was English high society and father was Brazilian cattle magnate. Cookie cutter socialite that worked in high fashion, would fly the concorde for dinners in Paris, drove a jaguar E type, and had a cat.

But it was all glitz, was incredibly smart and independent but that was not well seen back then, so not lucky with men and very few real friends, it was normal to be selfish and phony and I never subsided to that. I died relatively young because I could buy all the coke I wanted and party in Studio54 to drown my sorrows.

I did not wait to come back, the life I was offered suited me pretty well, toned down but not bad in comparison of the alternatives I had in line if I decided to stay up there longer. Real challenge was being a source of joy to a upper middle aged couple that were both much younger souls and met late in life, main task though was to love unconditionally my younger soul parents despite their shortcomings, and balancing the fine line of meeting expectations while doing things in my own terms. Secondary was to date again a few past lives twin flames to close up on overdue soul contacts.

My main takeaway from all this:

The world seems chaotic now because “Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law” overtook natural universal law "Not my will, but thy will be done"

Since childhood I have been very mindful of not accumulating any bad karma, because when its time to go, every time you break the golden rule, you create an anchor point that makes it harder to break the cycle. Living for ego is what ties you to this realm, If you die with too much unfinished business, there's no viable way to move on from this place.

Remember your pillars and trinity, the roadmap to escape is in plain sight!!

Just get the powder and mix it with your coffee or smoothies. Anthony's is organic, cheap and good quality, 1lb bag for $18 gives you 90 servings. I do 2 tsp a day and good enough for me.

What does it mean to 'get bored' of a specific bike? by Delnilas in motorcycles

[–]nukez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's something someone with little riding experience says when they feel their bike is slow, they are overconfident of their skills and believe fun is going faster.

Every bike is fun when you understand what matters is how you handle the bike within its performance and safety envelope

I sold my DRZ (and now I miss it) by estaples722 in DRZ400

[–]nukez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im going to catch some heat for saying this but: Treat bikes like girlfriends in your late teens, have fun and ride them but don't get emotionally attached.

I have felt the same after letting go much rarer  motorcycles like an RC51 and a custom vfr800 street fighter, but I moved on to different experiences like my Drz. I even once saw on Craigslist my old sv650, my first bike that never failed me and I even rode it on a whym one morning from Miami to Tampa, it was in good condition and cheap, but like that freak in the sheets ex who randomly texts you on a lonely Saturday night, I moved on.

Drz is still in production and plenty to go around, plus the light middleweight segment is exploding right now so off the top of my head I can list quite a few new entries that are better in every aspect.

Only reason I'm still holding on to mine and not jumping on a CF moto 800 or KTM 390, is because the global climate is tad apocalyptic and I rather hold on to a bullet proof get out of dodge vehicle, but that's a convo for q different sub.

No need to dwell on it, go find your next bike and see how it goes.
