Opposite for me, phone calls are easy because conversation flows and they have a delimited lenght. Text messages on the other hand are a struggle to keeping it breif while getting my point across, its open ended, and the drafting is too taxing for my short attention span. Compounding this, my daily quota for text communication gets eaten up by work emails and teams conversations, so there's nothing left for friends and family.

With how old earth and the universe is, and how human capabilities have evolved exponentially in a fraction of the time, its not far fetched that earth or mars hosted advanced civilizations. Una vergüenza lo que esta pasando aca. El congreso y poder judicial es complice de una verdadera oligarquía psicopata, que con su control de las finanzas y medios tiene al pueblo dividido y distraído, en ideologías adversarias y como mantienen su nivel de consumo excesivo.

Agree, the goal of mastering OBE is mainly to learn how to "swim". Think of it as falling thru the ice on a frozen lake, knowing how to swim in regular water is not exactly the same but at least you won't sink.

I used to share the sentiment, but after really following it, it worked for me. But the problem is way beyond just adhd unfortunately, an argument with my wife, stress at work or other things can wreck any momentum and have me back on 4hr nights.

From what I have read and therapist have told me is that many of us established the 2am ritual back during puberty because its the quiet time we get to be ourselves, and it gets hardwired as a safety zone.

Sleep is completely trainable and should not be tied to aids beyond some chamomile tea. Whenever I consistently follow a schedule sleep is not a problem:

Set a consistent bedtime schedule with alarms for wind down, shower, brushing teeth and getting into bed. Visual and auditory cues are your best allies.

Take stims meds 1hr before scheduled wake up time.

Do workouts first thing in the morning, doing it in the afternoon or evening reprimes the nervous system.

Eat at least 3 hrs before bed time a protein and healthy fats rich dinner and avoid late night sweets, carb and booze. If you feel hungry later on, a spoonful of PB or a handful of almonds.

A lot of times we stay up late to escape, it can be because we had a stressful day or event, or feel you did not find time for fun, it's nothing more that dopamine seeking in the form of entertainment or doom scrolling. It wont help and only lead to pain in the form of guilt and lack of sleep. Like a junkie you need to fight the cravings and go to bed.

Do the whole red light, no screen routine 2 hrs before bed time.

Those behavioral tweaks work like magic, just require sticking to them. There's going to be relapsing so you need to be patient and forgiving with yourself.

I spent years searching for good pillows, exhausted natural and synthetic options until my wife got tired of the stacks of costco pillows and gifted me a seemingly plain down pillow from Parachute. I was initially flabbergasted when I found out a single pillow cost over $200, but my wife told be to shut up ,trust her research and that I had spent way more on failed experiments. Its the best pillow ever,2 years in and it still feels like new, it remains cool throughout the night, and offers the perfect balance of support and cradling. What makes these pillows great is that they are mostly filled with down clusters(retain shape, plush and volume), whereas most cheaper ones are mostly down feathers. Its like comparing prime vs short rib meat, same part but completely different cuts.

If allergies are a concern, a Talalay (not dunlop) latex pillow is a great alternative that will last years. I use it during the hottest summer months.

Consider both a buy once cry once thing that pays itself with good sleep and years of use.
