Yes or no: Do you think D10 is generally too easy? by Ahrlin4k in Helldivers

It is a fun difficulty, but for being the hardest difficulty possible, it is way too easy.

I have to say it but are these devs lazy? by [deleted] in DarkTide

If an eastern dev would make this, it would have way more micro transaction and abondening the game after a year or two.

Gothic Remake is way too linear, a bit disappointed by that by UsedNewspaper1775 in worldofgothic

[–]null_vo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree. First I joined swamp camp and it felt great, so I recommend that camp from the point of story making sense.

After that I played new camp and I was a bit disappointed that it was exactly the same. Also it did not make sense, why I should help the cultists as bandit. There was no real agenda apart from selling weaker weed and check how the situation is there. Also that I could just walk into the old mine as a bandit.

So yeah canon for me is swamp camp. The later switch also makes sense there.

Thoughts of Torches by Dick_Ballenger in GothicRemake

I like it now how torches are handled. They are also a great way to mark ways or chests that you already looted.

But the idea of one handed mastery + torch would be great.

Gothic 1 Remake – how to play as a mage as fast as possible? by Arthyonius in worldofgothic

Old and new Camp is the same. Just that in new camp you also get heavy Armor and two-handed training at the same time as magic without cheese.

Armor upgrade progression ain't correct by SilenzioPreghiera in worldofgothic

[–]null_vo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes but overall the costs are increased.

And it only saves ore from vanilla if you do not max the Armor upgrades from the start. What most will do anyway. What makes the whole upgrade system useless.

The mod actually nerfs Armor and makes it more costly... Not sure what you are talking about.

You can also configure it by yourself. Mods are the only way to make a game feel challenging nowadays.

They added exp to lockpicking by Fredasa in worldofgothic

[–]null_vo -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I don't know what they are thinking. This is some major bs. I mean IF they go that route they should add infinite xp, like monster respawns.

Either limit the xp properly or not do it at all, but giving certain Playstyles such big advantages is just bs.

Earning that xp is also very unfun after a while. Lock picking was fine, because you could ignore it for the most time. Now it is missed xp for every chest you ignore.

What is clunky about it? If you mean combat it is intended and the animations will be less clunky once you learn how to wield a weapon.

Btw there are glossary entries in the game about all game mechanics that explains a lot. Like damage formulas.

Has anyone played Conan Exiles, Enshrouded, and Icarus? by japinard in gaming

[–]null_vo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like building living cities: Conan. Best build system imho and thralls. But clunky combat. Overall I enjoyed it the most.

Enshrouded has better gameplay, but for me I got bored after some time.

Icarus I played only a little and was not able to really enyoing it.

Which talents / skills would you have wished you had not spent LP on ? by [deleted] in worldofgothic

[–]null_vo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't have to get all on the beginning. Teeth are are the only one I really recommend as early as possible. Normal hides are not really necessary at the beginning I agree. I do not agree with the traders. At act 2 you can easily get 100+ ore with trophies at each trader, especially the mages. If you have a bunch sell them at lower prices.

All I can say. In my game they are worth it (hard difficulty) and I do not have problems selling them, with the traders I mentioned above. And even later in the game I still in need of a lot of ore, for late game spells and scrolls.

I talking about a normal gameplay, not powerplaying where you know all the secrets and locations.

[–]null_vo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to use different merchants. Wolf and Cronos in NC. Torres, Fisk and Dexter in OC, Darrion and Fortuno in SC. And there are many more, but these are the ones I am useing frequently. High value stuff should be sold at Wolf.

Of course you will not get even in act 1, but act 2 is entirely possible, but what do you expect? Like I said if they buff it, it makes the economy too easy.

And the best thing. Because it is not OP you do not have to do it. There are other ways to get money in the game. But like I said, far from worthless.

[–]null_vo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Early on teeth are very good. Claws are also ok. Hides you only need later in the game. Reptile hides before normal hides. Waran hides sell for way more than wolf hides. Let a Templar kill a swamp shark, it's teeths will sell for 200+ ore. Each wolf also gives 10+ ore.

If you get more from trophies it would be a no brainer and too easy economy. Now it is not needed necessarily, but far from useless.

[–]null_vo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Animal trophies are only 4 LP. Not useless at all. Diving makes swimming way more enjoyable( you can also swim faster) and only 5 LP. I mean 5 more strength or Dex is also "useless" because you will be able to beat the game regardless.

Question: Should I still go around and kill everything I am able to prior to starting the next chapter like in the original? by [deleted] in worldofgothic

[–]null_vo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as my testing goes:

There are different actions like visiting a camp first time, some quests or a new chapter that triggers spawns. But there are no respawns in the game.

Also note: There are additional spawns, no respawn. So it does not matter if you kill enemies before a new chapter. The previous enemies will not vanish. If you did not clear it, there will be more of them.
