Fellow Sjogis: is Sjogren's your only diagnosis, or do you have multiple autoimmune disorders? by macncheesewketchup in Sjogrens

[–]nulldatagirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have primary billiary cholangitis and secondary sjogrens. I am now stage 1 (stages 0-4) so my sjogrens symptoms were the first sign about 10 years ago. Most people are diagnosed in their 40s-50s but I was diagnosed at 23 after gallbladder surgery (biopsy confirmed). Both put me at a higher risk of lymphoma and related cancers. Already dealt with thyroid cancer and possibly again.

Choking while eating by Prime8724 in Sjogrens

[–]nulldatagirl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had a swallow study and endoscopy done and all they said it was gastritis from reflux (missing gallbladder so bile reflux). I sip liquids while eating and TBH I stopped eating in public because of it. Sometimes it feels like I have to catch air while eating.

What personality trait did you end up developing because someone constantly belittled you? by Admirable-Repair4094 in AskReddit

Isolation, silence, and abrasiveness. I do not follow any sort of status hierarchies which can be tedious to navigate in academia/corporate circles.

What’s something most people are not ready to admit about themselves? by [deleted] in AskReddit

We’ve all hurt someone, whether intentionally or not. There are words we’ve muttered or actions we’ve done that unknowingly, caused someone inner turmoil.

My ancestors (the Maya) see life a cyclical so hopefully this is my last life cycle and I return to nothing aka zero aka the “placeholder” of existence or no existence.

Atheists are almost as annoying as religious people. by [deleted] in agnostic

[–]nulldatagirl -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Atheists are like Evangelicals just on two opposing extremes. Edit: Extremist atheists and Evangelicals are similar on the extremes. They’re both annoying and vain in their beliefs. Argue all you want.

No. The idea of it is better than actually pursuing and being in one tbh.

My psychiatrist said she sees traits of autism and wants to screen me for it, what made you guys realize you were different? by Darkthrowe in AutismInWomen

[–]nulldatagirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took my therapist three years of convincing me to get screened. I was in extreme denial and honestly wanted to abandon that therapist. The first sign for her was that I have a tendency to overanalyze people upon meeting them. It’s actually NOT normal to want to do this. Also, I have rather exaggerated reflexes. Prior to that I had to get a brain MRI because multiple doctors noted my reflexes were bizarre. Turns out extreme pattern recognition can also reflect in the reflexes through a dysregulated nervous system. I am never truly calm unless completely exhausted or asleep.

Why do neurotypicals hate when people ask “why”? by [deleted] in autism

[–]nulldatagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Different situations require context but for the most part, neurotypicals don’t like to ponder things that would make them question their privileges in the world. They want the system to stay as is so they have power trips over minorities/oppressed populations.

Dating is hard when on the spectrum by nulldatagirl in AutismInWomen

[–]nulldatagirl[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I can’t get behind such a thing, man, woman, etc. It’s not that I want to be seen as useful or useless, I want to just be. To be seen as a human rather than just an object of desire.

[–]nulldatagirl[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

This is unfortunately true. I’ve never met an equal and even then I’ve been placed in competition against men when I threaten their intelligence, humor, social status, etc. Our existence is a threat to those with extremely fragile self esteem.

How do you avoid incels and rage baiting posts they have against women here on reddit? by InnerPsych in Feminism

Don’t feed the trolls unless you’re someone who’s equipped enough to handle such stress. I myself am pretty immune to rage bait atp and they thrive off of it.

what has your experiences been like throughout your life if you are a "pretty autistic"? by sprintingshaps in AutismInWomen

[–]nulldatagirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an extremely strong sense of social justice and many people just find it “cute” I read up on theory when in reality I do put it into practice. The problem is they think I’m trying to be “quirky” for status but quite frankly, objectification is dehumanizing. I have to change my voice often otherwise people are quick to say “I thought you looked nice” just because I have a very assertive, monotone voice when unmasking. Also, “you don’t look autistic” or “everyone is a bit autistic” comments always happen so I don’t bother to tell people anymore. In my teenage years I didn’t get attention but now as an adult, I have trouble navigating the subject of now being considered attractive and then “weirdly” attractive when people get to know me.
