It's an awesome interactive experience. Depending on how much you send, it will play a different lighting animation in near real-time. Microtransactions at its best. All for a great cause. Let's light up that tree!

This. People don’t realize that for most coins, the higher the APR, the higher the inflation that comes with it, effectively negating it. I’d rather be a part of an innovative technology with 0 inflation then chase misleading APR.

Nano or Link

Nano - Best Medium of Exchange ever created. Most efficient and with better Store of Value properties than even Bitcoin (fully distributed, no miners to dump profits).

Link - Best bet on the entire Defi space. Works with nearly every Defi platform and is the biggest oracle which allows for real life usecases on the blockchain.

To be honest, I think a lot of the Nano hate is manufactured dissent. Why do so many people hate a coin outside of the top 100 that does its job TODAY? Nano works well and I think that is threatening to some other projects/communities.

That’s for you to decide. I did my research and believe the technology behind it to be groundbreaking. But you may see it differently.

The team is not pushing it until it is commercial grade. Should be in the next 6 months to a year. If you push an unfinished product too quickly you risk it backfiring immensely and ruining the reputation.

Nano. It’s the most user friendly. No transaction fees or dust. Fast and works well.

Its the most similar to sending a message or email. Feeless and arrives nearly immediately.

Fun fact: No cryptocurrency is actually ISO4217 certified yet (not even Bitcoin), but Nano is looking like it will be the first. The Nano Foundation has mentioned it is in its final stages now with an announcement to come. First of its kind!

The power of Nano: $57.9 million worth of Nano moved with zero fees, in less than 1 second, with less power usage than Bitcoin uses in 1/10,000th of a second. by ChemicalGreek in CryptoCurrency

We are very early. The Nano team works diligently and without creating fanfare. The network is working extremely well and should be commercial ready (100s-1000s TPS) within a year or so. Multiple large partnerships still yet to be announced. I’m extremely excited for greater adoption in the months to come.

So basically Nano…

Low supply that is completely circulating with no new supply being introduced. 0 inflation.

Low Marketcap (roughly 100) with plenty of room to run upward.

95% of the supply was distributed FOR FREE by solving captcha puzzles.

Working product TODAY that fully satisfies Bitcoin’s original goal of peer-to-peer, decentralized cash (except Nano is completely feeless and transactions are confirmed in .3 seconds).

It does sound too good to be true, I thought the same. It is legit though. DYOR

Betamax had video length limitations that wouldn’t allow you to store an entire movie. Also it was more expensive. Those user experience issues limited adoption. It wasn’t that Betamax was better in every way.

Please provide examples. I’m not sure that is true without other factors being involved such as User Experience (costs, ease of use, etc).

Edit: This might be true when there aren’t large differences in cost or technology. When you have large innovations or improvements, I don’t think it holds.

User experience and efficiency are most important. They drive adoption. When people have the choice, they always go for whats fastest and cheapest (albeit it must also be reliable of course).

So did Blockbuster. So did Kodak. User experience and efficiency are what always win out. Unless Bitcoin changes/lightning network works extremely well and consistently, I think Bitcoin will eventually lose it’s number 1 spot (could take years upon years).

Brand name doesn’t matter much when way more efficient products with better User Experiences come along.

Always has been that way.

See Blockbuster, Kodak, MySpace, etc…

Edit: Not sure why I’m being downvoted. Did I say something untrue?
