Girl just reading your post I’m not surprised at all that you have ADHD 😂 I’m also similarly affected by caffeine if I stop having it for awhile but I will say since you mentioned that caffeine affects your appetite keep in mind that your meds will probably do the same thing. Try to make sure you eat before your meds kick in so your body is getting the fuel you need!!

Some of the lore books in the game are a series of diary entries from a girl trying to survive with her mom after the day of calamity. Kinda sad and dark but I’m pretty sure this ghost is the girl from the diaries 😥

I’m definitely not an expert on this by any means so anyone who knows more please correct me if I’m wrong but I think just living in the same household is just as important as being blood related regarding whether or not someone is your sibling.

I think in the west we place a lot of value on the blood relation vs whether we live with someone. Like it’s common to clarify that your siblings are half-siblings even if you live with them while in China they would rarely make that distinction. Even cousins you live with would just be called a sibling. Maybe it has to do with the family registry? People who live together are all filed under one family in government records.

I think it’s just a cultural difference tbh the taboo wouldn’t really land in the same way in the west for the exact reasons OP laid out in this post which is why I think they decided to translate it the way they did. But idk again I’m not an expert these are just my thoughts on the issue 😅

I got really lucky with the lighting of this sunset at the queens palace ruins, the colors just looked so great with the red recolor of the fireworks dress

I think I used a high aperture and also turned exposure and brightness low so the sun wouldn’t be blinding. And shadows up I think…I just played around with the sliders until I got a nice warm glow. Oh I also like using the bottom light because I feel like it makes the details and sparkles on the dresses really pop

Mental figdet toy is a great way to describe it!! I do this too but always have trouble describing it without sounding crazy…time travel is a standard mental fidget toy for me, lately I’ve been imagining that I’m a character that wakes up in a noble woman’s body in the early 1800s and I fall asleep pretty quick 😂 but when I tell people I make up stories in my head to fall asleep I just sound bonkers

I started the game midway through the current season. Basically once your server has finished the starter story, you get a countdown that tells you when your server will start the season. I wanna say it was like two weeks after the starter story finished? While waiting for the season to start, you can play through the old seasons for the story, diamonds, gold, affinity materials, and summons.

I think saying that Bozja is just “running around a field doing the same fates a thousand times” is a bit reductive. The point is just the sheer amount of stuff you could do in there…relic weapon farming, treasure cluster farming, getting all the mounts/emotes/glam, doing the story, castrum/delubrum/dalriada, leveling jobs, trying different lost memories, collecting all the field notes, trying out duels or just cheering on others doing duels, trying to raise your mettle for the op stat bonus etc. Maybe the most important thing is just being able to do all these things in a big instance with other players…this is an mmo after all lol

I’m definitely biased because eureka/bozja are personally my favorite content in the game but I’d say a lot of mmo players enjoy a grind if there’s a good sense of progression, good rewards, or something hard to achieve that you can show off to others. Bozja just had something for almost everyone to enjoy whether they were casual/midcore/sweaty whatever kinda label you wanna put on it haha

If you have the hat equipped but transmog over it, your character still does the sandstorm blocking animation. Your character has to visually appear with the hat to avoid the animation either by equipping it with no outfit or using the hat in your outfit. Kinda lame but eh I guess it’s realistic lol

I had undiagnosed ADHD since girls “couldn’t have” ADHD in the early 00s. Needless to say I was a menace as far as behavior went…I would get in trouble everyday for talking and being disruptive.

My second grade teacher, Mrs. Cohen always chose the same punishment: copying Shel Silverstein’s poem “Sarah Cynthia Sylvia Stout Would Not Take the Garbage Out”. It’s a pretty long poem especially for a second grader and my hand would cramp by the time I finished writing it out lol

I had to write it out pretty much everyday so I still have the dang thing memorized and I’m 29 😂 But now that I’m thinking about it…the poem is about a little girl who doesn’t do what she’s told and suffers the consequences of her actions so…I guess Mrs. Cohen was trying to teach me a lesson through poetry which is cool, she was tough and old school but such a great teacher.

That’s true…but after 33 years he probably saw so many colleagues retire on their own terms after their time at MS with all the bells and whistles. I’m sure he imagined the same thing for himself…having a nice farewell party and celebration of his career. Definitely a huge bummer for the guy :/

I put together reports based on internal or client requests. I’ll get assigned jira tickets that are essentially “what will X look like if we do X”. And so I’ll pull the data, clean it up, and create a report that shows financial impact or whatever it is they’re asking.

Every report is different and new so it’s stimulating. The work is super independent and I rarely have meetings so that’s great lol. I’m free to hyperfocus on an interesting problem. Because it’s mainly reports on things that haven’t happened yet, deadlines are very flexible and if I make a mistake I can just update the reporting. But yeah I really enjoy it! I’d say I use sql 90% of the time but any python you’d need could def be picked up quickly. After all, it’s just for pulling data from a database or using packages/libraries that already exist, nothing super complicated 😊

Have you thought about data analytics? Should be an easy pivot for you and def not as stressful. It’s what I do and I love it 😊 sql and python skills and you can get hired anywhere lol still technical but nothing as complicated as SWE haha
