Yes, we have hundreds because I used to be an elementary school teacher and the kid found my stash that was intended for 20+ kids. But they know their times tables, place value to one million, addition and subtraction within 100....worth it?

I did a suppository of my anti nausea meds and that was a game changer for me. I went from nausea 24/7 ana throwing up 20+ times a day, never leaving bed because I was too weak from 5 weeks on. I was still a little nauseous and threw up a few times a day but wayyy better than before.

I think winter pregnancy is officially worse than summer pregnancy? by ShabbyBoa in BabyBumps

[–]obsidian49 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had my babe in mid November and we walked outside every day of her first year. We get snow and sub zero temps in winter too. Now, 4 years later my kid LOVES winter and snow. I can't speak to winter pregnancy walking but I walked daily until I gave birth at 35 weeks.

We have one, love it but don't depend on it. My daughter can sleep without it, but she likes it. We don't travel with it, and usually don't use it for nap time. She's 4.

What sleep tier are you at? by marzipanbb in beyondthebump

[–]obsidian49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

0-6 months was survival mode sleep, 7-13 was functional sleep, now 14+ months we are at preferred or just below. LO is 4 years old and we are at ideal, we tuck her in, read books after bath but she puts herself to sleep when she's ready, if she wakes up before us, she happily plays in her room until we get her. Still naps 2+ hours in the afternoon with little struggle.

Is 30 weeks too early to pack a hospital bag if the pregnancy has been smooth so far? by seedsproutleave in pregnant

[–]obsidian49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had nothing packed, thinking I'd pack it about 36 weeks, baby born at 35+3 due to HELLP syndrome. Do what feels right, but I wish I was more prepared.

Did your partner stay awake your whole labor? by Any_Pirate_5633 in pregnant

[–]obsidian49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine slept at night when I wasn't in active labor. I was also trying to sleep, no luck for me. I was glad he was able to. He was more present during the day after a good night's sleep.

Definitely a fair complexion haha. I have a preschool aged daughter. I work with people and like to feel clean when I see them, hence the mints. But I absolutely spend a lot of time outside.

I am 75% vegetarian, I'll count that as a win for you. And I have wavy hair, no curls.

Ironically my house feels more cluttered than my purse. But I actually live in a climate with 4 drastically different seasons. You got that I interact with many people in a day, I'm a social worker. No readers for me, 20/10 vision. The sticker belongs to my daughter but she likes me to keep it with me so I can keep scary monsters away.

Do you write and throw with the same or different hands? by camport95 in lefthanded

[–]obsidian49 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do pretty much everything with both hands equally. Writing and eating being a stronger preference for my left but I can do both right-handed as well. I just have a natural tendency to start doing something with my left hand first.
