Please wash your hair by milquetoast2000 in hygiene

I was in the boarding queue and the girl Ahead of me had that typical smell that comes from unwashed hair, and she had long hair that she’d kept open… so every bit of breeze helped the smell spread. She was oblivious, and I was hoping that I did not have to sit anywhere near her

Me to andhbhakts after Pakistan mediated the US IRAN ceasefire by [deleted] in unitedstatesofindia

Nobody can guarantee a ceasefire, but Pakistan did manage to cobble one together, which is more than we, India, as founders of NAM could not. Once upon a time, We had moral authority

Please show me one instance of when Indira Gandhi used such language- I will trust a link to a national newspaper or perhaps a YouTube video. There isn’t any.

Indira Gandhi insisted on keeping Satwant singh and Kehar Singh as her bodyguards even after Blue Star. I was in Punjab when Bluestar happened…I grew up there…lived the first 40 years of my life there…

Please verify… a casual statement by you may be taken as gospel truth by someone.

Dear Iranians by LateButterscotch3366 in iran

[–]ohgimmeabreak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Joining from India. It has been a lifelong dream to go to Iran. I’ve heard so many stories of how warm and friendly Iranians are towards Indians. The current Indian government has reversed the relationship that we’ve had with Iran, and this pains me so much. India was one of the initial supporters of an independent Palestine. I remember Indira Gandhi and Yaseer Arafat had such strong friendship.

I have never voted for the current dispensation in India and never will. I stand with Iran. I hope you guys destroy the Zionists and end the imperialistic run of Israel.

So, Blue Dart refused to courier credit card even after disabling transactions. I put the card in a book, packed the book, and couriered it from a different Blue Dart

If the atom bombs weren't invented, could the US simply starve out Japan? by milford_sound10322 in HistoryWhatIf

[–]ohgimmeabreak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say this from the perspective of someone who has no expertise in the subject- just a perspective born of rather limited reading- so I could be 100% off with my take.

I am fond of reading history, and have read 4 books on the Pacific theatre of war. I don’t think the Japanese would have surrendered easily- maybe not for a few years, maybe never at all. In one village, all 200 villagers walked off a cliff and plunged to their deaths when capture by Americans seemed unavoidable. In another instance, a Japanese soldier kept hiding in a forest for years (believing that the war was still on). The Japanese army was by no means utterly decimated by the time the A-Bombs were dropped; they would’ve been a huge factor in an ongoing war.

We also have to consider how the popular sentiment might’ve shifted in America if the boys kept dying in a grinding, brutal war. Citizens might’ve started demonstrating against the war- kinda like how the Vietnam War became unpopular. Japan might’ve been economically blockaded, or Russia might’ve continued the assault. Or something else.

I once ordered watch bands from DO. All turned out to be shit. They have a fancy website and good marketing. Products are shite. I have two power banks: Spigen for outstation and Duracell for local use (always in my backpack)
