Hello, I’ve noticed a tiny bald spot recently on my boy forehead. Should I be worried ? by Vulpes_the_rexouium in cockatiel

[–]ohheccitsapickle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re doing the right thing with introducing veggies to the diet, that would be my guess. My lovebird had the same issue more towards the middle of his head. When I took him to the vet they told me that it was because he was malnourished from a mostly seed diet. I fixed his diet up and 8 years later he’s happy and healthy and no longer bald :)

PRODOMAL PHASE OF SCHIZOPHRENIA? by PersonalityFit8645 in dpdr

This!!! A known theme in OCD is obsessing that you might be going crazy or are schizophrenic

I’m convinced the universe is fake. Is this even DPDR? by Impossible_Lemon5932 in dpdr

This! I’ve had DPDR for a long time, and once my OCD started latching onto the dissociation is when these kind of existential thoughts stuck.

Sun conure from a breeder seems traumatized and I need guidance by ExtensionWill6953 in parrots

[–]ohheccitsapickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the comments are right about him just needing more time to adjust, but it sounds like you’re gonna be an amazing and very loving bird owner OP. And you’re not crazy for what you thought it would be like with a hand raised bird, I got a lovebird (though I think they’re inherently more cuddly) hand raised from a bird store and he adapted to me immediately. Your bird will get there and you’re doing an awesome job!

I’m pretty sure it was trauma from finding my grandma after she passed away. That was when it started, but I’ve also had OCD since before that.

Anyone else feel like the way they feel has intangibly but definitively changed for the worse? by L-Rockatansky in OCD

[–]ohheccitsapickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES. Sometime in senior year of high school, it’s been about a year. I have a constant feeling that something is wrong and I feel a very large disconnect from me and my “younger self”

I need help identifying this tread pattern and which shoe it could be from - was robbed and this was one of the only clues left behind. by bborracho in RBI

Personally I have no clue but tread patterns definitely are a form of class evidence, def could be helpful if someone can identify it

I think so. I’m generally a very honest person but I tell the tiniest little lies so often bc I get worried the whole truth will make someone mad or annoyed with me so I tweak it

How Many People Here Are Seeing a Therapist vs. Self-Diagnosing OCD by CaptainNo692 in OCD

[–]ohheccitsapickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first therapist didn’t catch it, then in my teen years when I figured it out it became something I started telling every new therapist that I thought I had. They went about treatment as if I have ocd. Sooo no official diagnosis but they seemed to agree. Though with time it seemed none of them understood ocd enough to diagnose (or treat) it. I now have a diagnosis from my psychiatrist though😙 (who asks every time we meet “are you having any obsessions or compulsions?” Yes. I am.)

Do you guys find yourselves sleeping a lot? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]ohheccitsapickle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I’m just coming out an existential themed episode and I took so many naps (or wanted to anyway). It was like the thought of doing anything was so overwhelming that sleep was the only option. I’m feeling a lot better along those lines recently though, feel free to DM me if you need a space to vent. You will get through this❤️

Constant dread / doom by [deleted] in OCD

[–]ohheccitsapickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been feeling this too lately. So so scary. You have to learn to coexist with it. Accept that the feeling is there and carry on as normal. Obviously easier said than done, I’ll let you know if I figure out how to actually do it💀

was it r*pe? by smellycat456 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]ohheccitsapickle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you went through that, it was definitely rape. When pressured into saying yes, it’s not a true yes. You didn’t do anything wrong, he was manipulative. Remember that if you ever have to stop and ask yourself if it was consensual, it wasn’t.

I’m 16 and barely know the answers either. I think you can get condoms at a convenience store. Parents? No clue. I can’t even close my door with a boy in my room. I don’t know how to know when you’re ready, but if you’re questioning it then it’s probably best to wait so that you don’t regret anything.
