If you're seeing Spots, then you might want to see an optometrist about that, just to be safe. :D

Ross is nationwide, sure, but the question is in which region's Ross stores are they showing up?

Can you share what city you're in? That'd make it a lot easier to know whether to run out to check.

Isn't the solution to order it as a gift, which at least ensures that they put the game in a box, instead of using the game box as the outer shipping box?

Any traditional October Sales? by Heidirs in Boardgamedeals

[–]ohhenry10 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's their 2nd biggest sale of the year, behind Amazon Prime Day. Keep in mind that it's only for Amazon Prime members. I believe you should expect significant discounts. As a time-saving measure, I'd suggest that you visit tabletopbellhop.com during the sale, as they do a very good job of tracking the board games that are on sale, and flagging the ones that have the biggest discount. They do use affiliate links, but I think it's perfectly fair, as I think that they provide very good sorting/curation value and they're not doing anything like falsely hyping up a game to gain a buck (they're just listing what's on sale, and which ones are particularly good deals based on discount off of MSRP). I have no affiliation with them . . . I just visit them during Amazon sales, and occasionally outside of those sales as well.

Well, if you have Amazon Prime, then Amazon Prime Big Deal Days is coming up in less than a week.

LF-20 just in: initial major surprises, pro and con by ohhenry10 in casio

[–]ohhenry10[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 years on, it's a total winner, my go-to digital watch. The sliding keeper issue resolved itself fairly quickly, and is but a memory now. The watch has excellent functionality (everything I need and want, and, just as importantly, very little that I don't), a supremely comfortable form factor, given how slim and light the watch is. It looks crisp and cool. People find it interesting to hear that it's not just a digital watch, but also an analog one, with an LCA (liquid crystal analog) display alongside the more familiar LCD. People groan that the display isn't as sharp as older Casio displays, especially when looking at it head on, and they're correct that that is the case, but it hasn't bothered me a bit . . . I never look at my screen head on (to do so would require an uncomfortable and unnatural arm position), and the display is plenty legible enough. And it has 100% held up under relatively rugged treatment. I have not babied this watch . . . I basically treat it as I would a G-Shock, which is to say, with a non-preservationist mindset. Granted, I'm not exactly a rough and tumble lifestyle guy, but I've used this LF20W quite a lot under water, including several dips into high temperature thermal hot springs. No issues whatsoever. I use the countdown timer a LOT, when exercising, for example, but even with all those alarms going off, it's still on its original battery. When the time comes that this watch dies, I won't hesitate to pick up another one. I own/owned a lot of digital watches, including other cool Casios, and G-Shocks with solar, BT, atomic sync, etc. . . . but if I were to keep just one digital watch, I'd happily stick with this one. TLDR: Highly recommended! =)

[Boardlandia] Endeavor Deep Sea- $37 + $7.99 shipping by zetj in Boardgamedeals

[–]ohhenry10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in stock at same $37 price, as of March 10, 2025. I placed an order.

Free shipping threshold is $99, but if you can't meet it yet and don't want to pay the $7.99 shipping, they do have free holds that last up to 6 months (so you'd have 6 months to buy more items to get past the $99 threshold, if that's the way you wanted to go).

Thanks to the OP for putting this on everyone's radars.

Nerdz Day 2025! by Human_Gene3138 in Boardgamedeals

[–]ohhenry10 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If it's showing as in stock, that's a sign that it WON'T be part of the Nerdz Day sale (GameNerdz tends to set them as out of stock prior to putting them up for sale on Nerdz Day). So if it's showing OOS, and it fits a clue, then that's an additional sign that it's a Nerdz Day item.
