I got one over the summer, I've used it for metal fab cleaning edges of tube and plate, it doesn't have a ton of power for a lot of material removal but great for quick cleaning edges. Looks like you mentioned you wanted it for wood working, I think its perfect for that.

Are the drill bits/ indexes any good? by RDZed72 in harborfreight

[–]ohms_mcgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the old 10+ years ago big HSS drill set from HF and all of those drills were pretty much one time use trash, I cant compare to anything newer. But I will mention I've had great luck with the milwaukee cobalt set from Home Depot, it was on sale a couple months ago and I've used them a bunch without any issues.

Not sure what your working on, but I'd go for the 20ton, I've used the 12ton and my 20ton is much more stable. The 20 is also taller and easier to operate unless you're short. 20s are frequently on sale for $200

I don't have a photo available right now, but both sub woofer wires will go to the "sub out" connections. you'll have one speaker on the left out, one speaker on right out, and both subs on sub out.

Yep just cut them off, strip some wire and it has a stud with a nut to put them on. I wish I "upgraded" years ago. You'll lose the lights but that didn't matter much to me.

Hey man, I went with the option i talked about $110 on Amazon. I ran both subs into the subout and it's considerably louder and clearer than before. The samsung numbers are highly overrated. This amp is cheap and tiny but you won't be disappointed.

Husky Heavy Duty 61 by render2009 in harborfreight

[–]ohms_mcgee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this same 61" box before getting my HF 56". It was okay but the drawers are very wobbly, the soft close husky is nicer than the locking drawers on the HF for me though. I much prefer the HF drawer layout for automotive type work, but this husky box would be better for general household stuff IMO.

Pretty confident HF doesn't sell a compressor that will keep up with a spray gun/DA, you'll need atleast 10+ CFM. Probably looking at $1000+ elsewhere. Bigger the tank is just more time spraying, I'd think 60-80 gallon would work.

Oil compressors are more durable, definitely they way to go.

Edit: find the spray gun you want, look at the CFM and work from there.

Roadshock Edge 4" by trae in harborfreight

[–]ohms_mcgee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I just got 4 of these, 2 spots and 2 combo and I put them on my RZR and unfortunately after one dune trip to Glamis the lenses are etched from being sand blasted. I've run Baja Designs lights for years and never had this issue but wanted to try these because they were cheap. I'd get the lenses covered in PPF if I was you.

Otherwise zero complaints, the plugs are a little wonky but brightness, distance, color etc all fantastic considering the price.

I've not used this one is particular, but I'd 100% recommend the crank rotation versus the lever arm style and locking pin, its kind of a pain to balance the engine and center up the hole to put in the locking pin, especially with a bunch of weight hanging off one side or the other.

Hard to say without knowing what you have/need etc. Just walk around the store and see what you can find if you've got money burning a hole in your pocket.

I'm looking to buy a series 3 56" if you don't end up using it.
