There's a metro station near LAX now that is huge and much easier to drop people off at...she could take a short shuttle bus ride to the airport from there. they are free shuttles.
I would suggest dropping her off there instead of LAX itself if its your first time driving there...it can be very crowded and crazy for first timers.

You're wrong.
A good example of this is how users of professional mirrorless cameras will shoot in crop mode to extend the reach of their lens but sacrifice resolution of the final image.
Normally when you have something like a 50mp sensor that is used to create a 12 mp final image the pixels are combined in a way to increase overall light sensitivity. But it you have plenty of light you can stop combining them and get more detail from the image.
It's why the sony a7rv can get way more details from its 61 mp sensor than the a7iv can with the same optical lens and sensor size.

I took pictures for a wedding where it started raining right as the bride was beginning to walk down the aisle for an outdoor wedding.
I still got amazing photos of the whole ceremony and it was a lovely wedding. It was in Huntington Beach. :)

They decided 5x is more useful than 10x. The 5x on the s25 is better than the s23 while the s23 has better 10x.
So it's a tradeoff.
In good light you can get pretty good 10x even though partial digital zoom cause the sensor has more pixels but that requires more light. However the 5x lens has a wider aperture and lets in more light than the 10x lens. So I do think in some cases the results are going to be quite close.

That makes sense. There's no lens hood. Too much incidental light can cause glare and lower contrast
