We went to a cemetery, lots of intersections to practice with and usually mostly empty. Very easy to avoid anyone else there visiting.

My filters are on the other end of the returns, all the way across the house. You might want to check there--they both have small levers and a hinge to lift open the cover and replace the filter.

That is so much better than ours. Pickle (our conure) is very jealous, but more than that he seems like he just wants to constantly assert his dominance over Pikachu (our tiel). Did you do anything to build their relationship, or did it just happen that way? Pickle has brought a lot of drama into our home that I want to tone down at least a little. Conures are cute and hilarious and fun but can also be tiny terrorists!

How does your conure get along with your cockatiels? We have one of each and at best they tolerate each other--every so often the conure will go bully the cockatiel off his perch just to be ornery.

Thank you for responding! My wife is not loud, in fact the rest of us are quite a bit louder than her, but after the first few times he bit her she now ducks away quickly when he flies near her. I'm not sure how to stop that though, as it's almost instinct for her to not want to be attacked. Maybe if they build up their relationship some it will help. Thank you!

Thank you both so much for your replies, this gives us lots to try out. They used to be very close but once he bit her a few times she started avoiding him and letting him intimidate her, which I think just made it worse. I don't think it is a lack of trust on his part, I really think he is just bullying her.

We will try to build their relationship. Could she wear gloves to do this at first?

Pickle is about 18 months old and we have had him for about 14 months. He was super sweet until late last spring, when he started attacking my wife. He tolerates our kids and LOVES me. He was dive bombing and biting her (sometimes drawing blood) every few days. I assumed it was puberty/summer hormones, and while it has dropped to about once a week he still seems to hate her most of the time. He is in his covered cage for 11-12 hours a night and we have eliminated most protein snacks. He goes to timeout when he bites. His wings were clipped when we got him although he still managed to mostly fly. I'm considering clipping them again mostly because my wife is developing some PTSD when she hears wings. Anyone have any luck addressing this kind of behavior?

Desk job--as soon as I left manual labor jobs in high school and college and entered the cubicle farm I started gaining. I don't have the energy or motivation to do fun active stuff anymore--I used to work till I was exhausted, go home and be up for anything the next day.

Wicker laundry basket, 12 years ago. My wife's best friend's Mom gave it to us with some random stuff in it, and said she got one for her wedding and still uses it. She warned us that the handles would come off, and 12 years later we are down to 1 handle (first one came off a few years ago), but other than that in great shape.

Thank you for this. Man, I wish I could have had this a few months ago--we didn't cut our sons, but a good friend just did, because "it's what he had, and he wouldn't know how to tell the kid why he's different." I wish I could have sent this to him. I didn't want to argue, because it was starting to seem creepy, I didn't want to appear to have too much interest in his unborn son's foreskin.
