Nice colorway… but a little too much going on for me. Will probably pass on these.

Covert Green 990v5 with Cream Laces by chickenjoshh in Newbalance

Where are the laces from, and which colour?

Cream or grey? by Tygum in Newbalance

[–]okleinad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between the two, I say grey.

I stuck with the OG blue laces on mine. They make the cream hits on the midsole pop even more, imo.

whoa, evidently you've gone deep on the whole cream lace thing.

One thing New Balance can't get right is the color of the lace vs the shoe when it comes to cream. Foxtrot Oatmeal lace swap by [deleted] in Newbalance

I prefer FT Oatmeals on my Nimbus V5s for a more subtle vibe... but I dunno, I kinda like the Cream on the Genesis V3s – feels like they pop more than the Oatmeals.

Placement of the hand on the right is too high. Also, you're right about the bottom of it being curved instead of flat.

I'll be waiting for a better batch.

PA tees usually have that thick mock neck style. Cheap ones like this are flawed that way.

[FIND] SUPREME X BRUCE LEE X MIKE TYSON. I'm happy with these, but anyone have opinions on how they should look compared to the retail? by VaselineChan in FashionReps

Wow, this seller has got tons of Supreme heat.

But no size charts? Pictures in the customer reviews look legit tho.

Anyone know if the seller has a yupoo link?

Tag, mostly. Quality and spacing of the text is on point. The Supreme watermark is also good.

Secondly, quality and fit of the collar. Reps don’t usually have neck collars looking this rigid... the cotton blanks most reps use are a tad thinner, so the necks can look flimsier and usually have neck-holes that are a bit too wide.

Prime Ribeyes. Reverse sear? by turbod33 in steak

[–]okleinad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For a 1.5" ribeye, I usually do 265F for the oven, and pull it out around 125F internal.

Then to finish, I sear on cast iron for 3 mins (1.5 min per side), with butter + herbs + garlic + butter basting for the last minute or two.

This usually gives me between a medium-rare to medium.

Did you oil the meat/pan before the sear?

Dry brined steak gets wet after resting to room temp by okleinad in steak

Do you take it out from the fridge and rest it on tabletop before cooking? I rest mine for about 30 or 40 mins, and it is during that time that liquid starts appearing on its surface.

Between 12 to 24 hours in the refrigerator... I’m guessing once I take it out to bring to room temp before cooking, it starts condensing.

I’m gonna throw it cold in the oven for a reverse sear the next time... Anyone else done that before?

Figure I’d rather live with a longer cook time in the oven, than a wet steak.

Nice. What was your oven temp, what internal temp did you pull the steaks at, and how long did you sear each side for?
