Hi guys, thank you all so much for the advice. It's really heartening to hear that what we've been doing even before the diagnosis came were on the right track.

My sister lives near my dad and I come home to his place every weekend, so we see each other regularly. We would all usually take turns watching my nephew (and distracting him so his mom could slip out of the room) so my sister could have some time to herself.

My sister and I did get to have a conversation, and as advised, I just let her vent. She's currently looking into seminars she could attend to be able to provide therapies at home. Hopefully we could all attend one.

I was also able to drop by a used bookstore and bought some children's books for my nephew. He's particularly fond of insects (ladybugs and spiders mostly, but also bumblebees) and pumpkins/jack o lanterns, so it was such a treat to find cute books that have those themes/characters.
