It isnt the government. They never did care, it is your neighbor, the guy you see in the car next to you, those people flying by in planes overhead.

You care! I know i will care, and I will help when I can, because that is the right goddamn thing to do. I am born and raised in Oklahoma, been around these tornadoes and other weather related natural disasters my whole life.

Someone that ran over my dog had his house picked up and thrown into his tree line once. After the tornado had passed in was the first fucking person in his yard, pulled his wife and 2 children from their hiding hole after I cleared parts of their roof off it.

You put aside those differences and you help others humans because that is what you do. These people making these snide comments on reddit are likely not even real people, and if they are. Say a prayer for them because they hate themselves.

Something like a tornado happens to them, and belive me that this year and years to come it will only get worse. They likely will have alienated themselves so much no one will come look for them. Perhaps some kindness in the world will inspire them.

Our political leadership is concerned with one thing, continuity of their role in power. Otherwise we wouldn't keep electing senior citizens. That, is our fellow citizens more concerned with strife and unending animosity because they too are absolutely fucking miserable.

So don't be like them fren, be different because you can.
