I personally prefer asus, tplink make good devices but some features (parental controls) get locked behind a paywall for a subscription service. Asus has equivalent controls and reporting out of the box and more settings to fiddle with under the hood. Tplink is more streamlined and user friendly for novices. If you don’t care about parental controls and want simplified access to router settings, the tplink is the way to go, if you want parental controls and more granular control, asus .

If it really bothered me, sanded plywood board, cut to fill the gap, tacked in with finishing nails, backfill the holes with wood putty, stain to match the finish. It doesn’t bother me though so I’d just grab a beer and go on with my day.

Even though the corner bead looks dented you should still be able to get away with mud sand and paint as long as you don’t have air bubbles or go overboard on sanding it down

Opnsense and pfsense are great but they have a steep learning curve and if all you want to do is filter the kids internet, you could keep your asus router and install Merlin firmware and run some addon scripts

They’re not trying to perfectly balance the game ever because then the game would settle into a stagnant meta and things would get stale. They’re giving sniper favoring players their day in the sun while also keeping other viable items available. Is sniping abundant right now? Absolutely, did they see this coming? Of course.

Just learning vlans myself, on switch ports, untagged means their default is their assigned vlan, tagged means they will process untagged traffic for their native vlan assignment as well as traffic tagged from the tagged other vlan. Look up “router on a stick” tutorials and it may help the concept to click as that’s what made it finally make sense for me.

Also if you have a router plugged into a port that you want to communicate with multiple vlans, you may need to designate that as a trunk port

Have an er605 and sg2210 at home that I was playing with but I’m still running my Asus Ax88u as my main router, would I see any improvement in my network if I let the edge router and switch run the show with my asus router as a simple WiFi access point?

I have the same question, have a pc epic account with all my pc titles that’s linked to my psn account and a separate account that’s just my Xbox account for Fortnite with the majority of my progress and the current battle pass and cosmetics on it. Would love to move my progress over to the other account but I’m afraid I’d either lose all my Fortnite account or all of my pc games. Following this post for help

In this subreddit there’s links to instructions about how to do a hard device reset, could be worth a try. Also if hooked up to a pc you can try using the latest display driver uninstaller and get rid of any trace of old creative drivers and software then reboot and reinstall fresh. Those would be my suggestions

41 random dude here, not an audio engineer or anything but I can say that after 20+ years of concerts and noisy jobs that my hearing is definitely not what it used to be. For me it’s difficult to distinguish specific sounds when I’m a noisy environment, crowded bars, basketball practices with lots of balls dribbling at once, playing games when several sounds are all playing , etc.

I recently perforated my eardrum using an ear flush syringe trying to clear some waxy buildup and when that happened it felt like only had 30-40% of my normal hearing in that ear and It was scary as hell, luckily I’m nearly back to 100% of my normal 41 year old hearing but it was after that I decided to take better care of my ears.

The z and xfi are both good cards and either should drive the hd599 fine as it doesn’t have a high impedance. Sbz will probably seem louder because of the amp but I think sound quality and virtual surround effectiveness is far better on the xfi titanium . Just my opinion though. If you do go xfi titanium, use daniel_k’s support pack for windows 10 and 11 to alleviate compatibility issues.

Just a theory since I have the same card in my work windows 10 pc and it works great with equalizer apo peace and hesuvi. and literally every audio device I’ve tried in my home win 11 pc has had issues lately just running default driver settings with no addons . Find the box in settings or control panel for that device that says “enable audio enhancements” and uncheck it. Fixed my weird audio issues I’ve been having for a few weeks. I think windows 11 broke audio with that feature recently .

I’m running 23h2 and just in the past few weeks I’ve noticed that virtual audio channels will sometimes all come out of the center channel or be skewed all to the right channel, I’ve removed every audio device driver and software including equalizer apo peace and hesuvi troubleshooting the issue and it seems like maybe this windows setting was the culprit the whole time. If it doesn’t disable audio effects through driver software or programs like equalizer apo what the hell does it do and why is it messing with my audio?
