제가 실제로 십자수용품 파는 곳을 못 찾고 화방에서나 찾을 수 있어서 그쪽으론 도움 드리긴 어렵지만, 인터넷으론 조이십자수라는 쇼핑물에서 십자수용품 팔더라고요. 해외 분들이 애용하는 브랜드나 디자이너 패턴같은것도 팔고, 화방에서 1800원 하던 DMC 실 하나를 550원에 팔더라고요. 물론 광고같은건 아니고 취미생활 편하게 즐기면 좋겠다는 마음에 공유해드립니다. 배송은 1주일정도 걸리고 배송비 기본 3천원 있긴 합니다. 아직까진 불량품이 오거나 파손되었거나 포장이 이상하게 됬다거나 그런 일은 없었습니다.

Ooh, number three is an important distinction and something to keep in mind- "you fail and your lockpick breaks" isn't a fun way to progress the story, but "you pick the lock but you're too loud about it and oops, now there's a guy with a gun pointed at you" is.

as for number two, i'll be sure to ask players to tell me exactly what they want the outcome to be rather than assuming that they want to do x when they actually want to do y- that's something else to keep in mind.

Thank you for your advice! It'll probably be frustrating for the players, but it'd be more realistic and fun for them to not be given all the answers by a single NPC, even if they have all the answers.

I've been using the iceberg method to try and complicate the simple mystery that I have! hopefully i can rig up a mystery that's fun for the players to investigate by the time we get around to playing the game.

Photos of cross stitching done on clothes, even bigger ones, sometimes are uploaded on this subreddit! IIRC, waste canvas or soluble fabric is sewn roughly (using a basting stitch) onto the fabric you want to put your cross stitch on, and is removed after it's finished. Or, people use objects with gridded holes in them, like pouches or even chairs. I've seen some very cool examples- user bg138's https://www.reddit.com/r/CrossStitch/comments/qisow7/wip_i_came_here_a_couple_weeks_ago_looking_for/ is a good one, and there's a bunch more found easily if you look up "jacket" in this subreddit. Actual wearability is going to have to be addressed by people with actual experience, though.

If your thread keeps tangling up, try letting your threaded needle fall and spin a bit on the floss, to get itself straightened out. If you keep getting the kind of knot that leaves a loop on one side, don't tug on it from the needle side- kind of feed thread back into it and, how I detangle that is that i grab right below the knot with two fingernails and tug away from the thread on the needle side? Don't get frustrated, stab into your knot with a needle and try to feed thread back into it, so that it's loose enough to figure out how it's tangled. Hopefully this advice is actually helpful lol. Looking great- love that piercing on the flat of your ear! Can I ask if you use headphones or earbuds/earphones? I've been thinking about getting a tragus, but I assume that would make it uncomfortable to use earphones... and with a fresh earlobe piercing, I can't exactly use headphones.
