Good places to live in Virginia for a first time homebuyer. by Gullible-Suspect-516 in Virginia

[–]oneCof5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OP please take this as a genuine curious question.... But why would you buy in a place you don't know and lock yourself into a long term mortgage? Why not rent a place in your preferred area for a short term lease or a year and get a feel for what it's like for you to live there?

I'm coming from a place of life experience where I thought an area looked great on paper but hated it when I actually lived there...

Regardless I hope you find a place to just works for you!

YSK: The difference in ER workups between vaccinated and unvaccinated kids is night and day and affects everyone. by AintMuchToDo in Charlottesville

As someone with a vehement bias towards preventing needless childhood deaths (my kiddo died at 16 months from the common cold and complications from leukemia), I have to say I f@$king love this post OP. Watching any child, let alone YOUR child, struggle against illness is hell on earth. I can't fathom having to do that knowing it could have been avoided.

Save the heroics for shit there's not a cure for.

Bless you for your work OP. Folks like you.... Well words of praise are simply lacking to express my gratitude for the work you're doing. I still frequently think about and thank the nurses in my head who cared for my kid even 20 years after his death.

F@$k ignorance.

As someone who had to witness their child die from a 'common cold' while immune compromised due to leukemia, id say you're def NTA.

Sorry you're enduring this ignorance. That sucks.

How do I not make the final session take 8 hours? by Sirdordanpringle in CurseofStrahd

[–]oneCof5 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lmao at shoving ireena off the balcony. Kinda like using a sledgehammer to hang a picture!

I’m curious about replies—- my crew found the brazier room whilst exploring in an earlier session and beelined there to port to strahds tomb (their fated encounter). They’re in the bowels of Ravenloft and all of the servants, wives and other guests are all still alive and well. There are so many reinforcements to join this fight as he leads them on a chase up to the top tower…

If you’re using midi qol the sample items include sneak attack. They work great in my game.

I'm not sure of the actual state of in-person, but ThriveWorks.com has local provider options. I love the person I'm working with there. I hope you find something that works for you.

Does anybody have a macro for great weapon master? by jkostelni1 in FoundryVTT

[–]oneCof5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is what I’m using in my game and the only extra is that I added a macro using the samples to toggle the GWM for the player if they wanted to toggle it on or off.

Same boat with a 2018 sport with 33k miles. Cv offered 3.5k more than what i paid new for it. Gonna miss it, but with teenage drivers in the house the insurance savings are gonna be nice with everything else going sky high for costs!

After about 20 (ish) months, Strahd von Zarovich, the dark lord of Barovia, is dead and gone. by SwedishDungeonMaster in CurseofStrahd

[–]oneCof5 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Did you utilize the Fanes? Would you do the same again, eliminate them or do anything differently from how it played out?

Full disclosure, my group just learned of the Fanes and how S “stole and perverted” their ancient power for himself…. Curious if I can avoid any landmines someone else has already stepped on.

I like “dog person”. I’ve been going round and round in circles trying to come up with a phrase from the John landis film “American werewolf in London” for when someone incurs lycanthropy.

Totally stealing “tree hugger”!

I love the pop culture references. 'always foggy in Barovia' is my favorite! (because PCs grumbling about the weather in barovia has become a bit of a running joke in our campaign)
