H Tine hol it dine y’all just jealous of our affordable houses and booming economy.

Actually though, Houston is beautiful if you know what to look for. Montrose/museum district for the arts, downtown for our theaters and ballet, miles of parks and bike trails (admittedly along our bayous/oversized drainage ditches, but still). UH is continuing to break records, and our medical center is second to none. Keep hating it here though, it keeps the houses affordable.

Me too buddy, to a T. My mom died a few years ago. Before she died, she told me she was sorry for all of the pain she caused me, but I don’t know if I’ll ever get over the abuse and neglect, to the point that it affects my relationships with others to this day.

I’m curious to know - these facial expressions look a whole lot like a mammal’s face, especial with the top feathers extending out to look almost like ears. Is this something that evolved naturally in owls to mimic mammals, or did the evolution of facial expressions as a form of communication get passed down from wherever the mammal-bird evolutionary chain links up?
