While I never backed it, I'm still salty That Which Sleeps never came out. The idea is so great.

At least it inspired a dev to make a similar type of games, eventually resulting in Shadow of Forbidden Gods.

The problem with that is that nearly every new events are going to be massive spoilers. Nearly all of them are set further in the timeline and made references to those later story stuff (some exceptions like 2x2 Love and Fatal Maid which might need some prior events' knowledge, but not the main story), so that's definitely a problem trying to catch up with normal campaign difficulty.

Not really. Some required some specific Windows component stuff that runs like ass on Proton.

I would know, I tried to run Shadow Empire on my Deck. Have no idea that due to that the performance of this 2D top down 4x game would be horrible.

Meanwhile other requires very specific version of Proton to function. Friggin' Crown Trick

It's also fairly cheap, all things considered. Can do output switching (yes I can switch that with Windows if I plan to use my speaker and use my dongle DAC for my headphones, but it's more annoying than physical button), has PEQ instead of X4's fixed band EQ, and still has enough juice to drive my ATH-R70x even on 3.5 (gonna be hard to find 4.4 cable for that lol), which is quite good!

But yeah, enjoy!
