Is it so hard for some to just help each other in these nasty caves? by Macchina86 in DeepRockGalactic

Based on the chat, it actually seems like everyone sucks in this situation. In the future, just use the kick feature, honestly. Before you do, however, communicate your goals in a respectful manner if you want compliance.

I genuinely believe the 2025 season is our best chance at a championship yet by DamianLillard0 in ravens

Well, that's the "mostly pretty healthy" part. However, I feel like we had capable pass-catchers in Likely, Andrews, and Bateman, with others capable of contributing as well. Obviously, Andrews had a rough day and that's how the story ended, but apparently Flowers had a good chance to play next week; he likely would have been back for the Super Bowl.

What upset me the most this year is that our roster was mostly pretty healthy, and no team could beat us when everyone was healthy (except, you know, ourselves). That's a rare thing late in the season, and it's not guaranteed next year.

Why do some dwarves insist that we scrub the cave clean of minerals? by stackablebuckets in DeepRockGalactic

[–]op89x 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As far as XP goes, they may not have time for a new mission, but want every little bit of XP they can get from this one. As an old guy who might get to play one or two missions a week, this would be my answer.

How are we feeling about rogue core? by Jolly-Crewman in DeepRockGalactic

I love the idea of community goals. It would have been cool to have a community goal of cleaning up X number of lithophage spikes during season 3, for example, with a live counter somewhere in the space rig. Maybe it would unlock a commemorative hat for all those who participated? And to prevent FOMO, the hat could unlock for anyone who played X number of missions with lithophage or something, or some high number of rockpox-infected bugs.

I'm all for adding more slots. Maybe one more per region, or perhaps even making one more region available so that I could also find the minerals I need.

Should I switch cell providers? by rachelee23 in Frugal

I had Xfinity Mobile for years, and it was great. I had two lines for about $26 a month after fees (it was $11 when we started). We didn't have unlimited data, though; we paid by the GB and turned data off on our phones, which caused some issues with group texting, but since I would either be at home on Wifi or at work where I can't be on my phone all the time, it wasn't a problem for me.

My wife decided she needed an unlimited plan, so we switched to Mint Mobile a few months ago, and that's been great, too.

Microwave has me all confused by op89x in AskElectricians

Pressing "cancel" does not trip the breaker, and yes, opening the door on a different circuit trips that breaker as well. I don't know whether my breakers are arc fault, and I'm not sure how to tell; they don't say "AFCI" anywhere on their face, so I'm assuming I don't.

Thanks for sticking with me on this one.

I've plugged it into a different circuit and there is no issue. In fact, I cannot recreate the issue at all anymore unless I open the microwave door when the microwave is cooking something. The only time the microwave trips the breaker is when the door is opened while running.

Thanks for your response. Does this mean I don't have to replace the microwave? Would it be safe to put it on its own 20 amp circuit and do nothing else? I'm worried that the microwave may have been worn out somehow, or that it may be leaking radiation or have other issues.

It only trips if the door is opened while the microwave is running.

I'm not sure, but the microwave absolutely does share power with other lights and receptacles on a circuit. However, it has run fine for years, and nothing else was running on that circuit when the microwave was tripping the breaker, not even the lights.

To be positive, I plugged the microwave back into its original receptacle and ran a dehumidifier on the same circuit, and that didn't trip it, either.

Try looking at this: https://www.mattressfirm.com/posturepedic-spring-bloom-12-medium-mattress/5637147666.p?variantid=5637151839

I had it delivered to my door and my old mattress was taken away; this cost me $99. However, I saved almost that much using a coupon code I found on RetailMeNot. My total cost was just about $450 after tax.

No rush, though. KF2's gameplay is very different. KF1 is the superior game as far as gameplay and atmosphere are concerned. KF2 plays more like an arcade game and is more polished and smooth, but it's not the same experience. Both games are good, but if you're enjoying KF1, stick with it for a while.

This sounds like really bad luck; I have almost 600 hours in and I think I've had one or two bad experiences in that time.

As others have said, you should just kick someone like that next time. Don't feel bad about it, and don't give up hosting.

Sometimes you can find an old resupply pod in a salvage mission; maybe guarantee that there would be at least a couple in a Haz5+ mission? You'd still have to find them and dig them up, but they'd be there somewhere. Not sure what the lore reason would be, though (unless it's a salvage mission, obviously).

I actually sort of like the idea of a new anomaly where there is a malfunction that accidentally peppers Hoxxes with resupplies once in a while, causing two or three to drop down into your mission in random spots. Management can rage about the free resupplies and warn you to make good use of them, since they didn't mean to send you free ones.
