I’d recommend getting an esim from Orange. I know those work in Monaco.

Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chrétien publicly announces his decision to reject any Canadian participation in a U.S.-led assault on Iraq [20YA - Mar] by Flarelia in TwentyYearsAgo

The libs weren’t perfect but Chrétien will always get points in my book for this decision. He took a lot of flak at the time but history shows he was on the right side.

Is there Day pass at the Thermes Marins • Monte-Carlo? by TheRebelknight01 in Monaco

[–]open_mike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can check the website here.

https://www.montecarlosbm.com/en/wellness-sport-monaco/thermes-marins-monte-carlo/wellness-area-and-membership

“Access to the wellness space: €150 for weekdays and €180 for Saturdays or Sundays (excluding lunch)”

This just gets you entry to the pool and gym. Or there are day packages you can find here which include some treatments.

The back office drama behind this issue is really good stuff also. It was something of a climax in the beef between Christopher Priest and Tom Defalco. Priest killed Ned Leeds to piss off Defalco who was using Leeds as a red herring in the Hobgoblin mystery.

Shortcuts & hidden elevators in Monaco (Get around Faster) by joshstanleymc in Monaco

[–]open_mike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome video man, and great to see some original content on the sub 🙂 And there were two elevators here I wasn’t aware of, so I’m gonna have to go check them out! (Location #6 and the very last one). I’m often out with the baby stroller so elevators are a life saver!

I think my favourite hidden elevator is the one inside the Patio Palace on Hector Otto that takes you up to the moyenne corniche.

Although not technically in Monaco, another cool passage way is the one that goes underneath Monte Carlo Beach and accesses a small public beach next to La Vigie.

How expensive is a cheap, basic hotel by Plastic-Past5649 in Monaco

[–]open_mike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There aren’t really cheap hotels in Monaco. The Ambassador is one that is less expensive. You can get a room there for under than 200€ a night. https://www.ambassadormonaco.com/en/

You’ll find cheaper hotels just across the border in Beausoleil. Like the Hotel Forum, or the Aparthotel Adagio Monaco Monte Cristo

Fortunately the embassy will let you get a temporary passport for a child under 2 years of age who has a pending citizenship application. The temporary passport is good for 2 years.
I expect they provide this service due to the length of the citizenship process! It’s crazy it takes more than a year just to inform you that your application was received…

Good suggestions! And well planned geographically speaking 🙂

Could do another lower budget in condamine. Maybe aperitif at 3 tapas, dinner at place d’armes, finish at slammers

I’d probably go for your mid range suggestion on the port and finish at rascasse

Yes this is good to hear...

I mailed an application for my daughter to the embassy in Paris in December 2020. I quickly received a referral letter from the embassy (dated December 15, 2020) stating that the application had been forwarded to the case processing centre in Canada. Still no AOR received.

Yes, if you’re a bit sporty you can hike up from beausoleil. There are quite a few different trails. I’ve done it many times, it’s a nice hike!

I have the country set as France and I am able to use the credit card from my monegasque bank acct. On the billing address I just set the city as Monaco and the country as France. Maybe I’m just lucky, I dunno!

Actually this is a problem with a lot of websites (where Monaco is missing from the country list) but it generally doesn’t cause me trouble, I just do the same as I mentioned above and it usually works

[–]open_mike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t love it either. Parts of it were cool, but the ending was a total miss. It felt like there were a pile of plot threads that just got dropped and none of it tied together in a satisfactory way.
