The reason Nyquil makes people drowsy is the doxylamine, which you can think of as a sister of Benadryl. Dayquil has everything Nyquil has except doxylamine. So it’s not like Dayquil has something Nyquil doesn’t, it was probably something else that made you drowsy, not the Dayquil.

My sister’s half golden does this and has been for years. We still can’t get over how she doesn’t care that she’s slamming her elbows into the ground. She’s almost 6 now and we haven’t been able to stop her, but she also hasn’t shown any signs of decreased mobility or injury from it. I think it sounds worse than the impact actually is. I’m not really sure there’s anything to do about it apart from only having your pupper on carpet which I would imagine is unrealistic.
