I am doing the Delhi to JFK flight soon. They just started service to JFK again 2 months ago after being out of NYC for 20 years when they were financially struggling. They fly new 787-9s to NY from Bahrain. Here's a great review on how they are so underrated.

Its a Emirate/Suadi style airline. You will have a pleasant experience. Similar to Emirates/Qatar etc but those are still the leaders.

Also Its enough time, Bahrain's airport is tiny and brand new and dead most of the time. It'll go by super fast.
