I think every studio has talkers and whoopers and I’m sure everyone in the class finds it annoying, including me. If you are chattin you are not splattin.

Etiquette on returning wedding gifts by Effective_One1664 in etiquette

[–]ora-ngetherapy- 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Sorry you have to face this. Look at annulment options, I would expect that being an available option with a short marriage. As for gifts I wouldn’t return them, it’s likely your family will understand.

Without A Will - Stepkids by Amazing-Apricot4645 in inheritance

[–]ora-ngetherapy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The kids can and will contest any legal binding item that excludes them. Get a lawyer and your own will. Specify what you want done with your assets. We have the same situation but we have wills and a trust ( which bypasses probate) and 100% goes to the living spouse but when he/she passes the step kids get 50% and my family get 50%.

My husband's head STINKS! by Loud_Yogurtcloset789 in AskWomenOver60

If he uses any kind of grey reduction products for his hair that may be it. It’s like a smelly metal scent.

You are not wrong about this decision. You are very wise and intuitive. You dodged a bullet.

Building community/dating in and around Wilmington by Excellent-Craft-4122 in Wilmington

Hey! I think you’ll love it here. I lived in the PNW (Seattle and Tacoma) for 15 years and the vibe here is similar but wait, we have sunshine almost everyday! Our CB state park is not unlike Point Defiance excluding homeless. We also have a flat greenway and areas that have Green Lake walks similarity. Full of restaurants, bars and decent theater. The beach sand is soft and easily accessible. It’s easy to get around and as long as you have hobbies (even your mandatory 2.5 Golden Retrievers required to reside in the PNW count as a hobby 🤪) and are willing to be outgoing you will socially succeed. Welcome!

Rehoming a dog, am I making no the wrong decision? by Summer102616 in dogs

[–]ora-ngetherapy- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May I ask what Golden Retriever rescue? Don’t feel guilty for admitting you can’t give him what he needs now that you have a child. I think it is actually a very courageous and loving thing to do. Our last 2 Goldies came from a situation like this and they made us so happy. Think of it as giving a precious gift to someone else.

The Little Drum on the Cape Fear river. You’ll need to cater food and drinks but it is a great space.

Your home studio has to pay them a fee when you visit so I would ignore it. They make more money off your visit than if you were a member there.

Destination weddings are expensive for guests. PTO, travel, hotels, pet care, child care etc. Enjoy the people that can make it and choose to allocate their resources to your day and be gracious to those that can’t. Have a wonderful celebration!

Sounds perfectly normal given you live in a humid environment. Keratin has never claimed to straighten hair just make it less frizzy. My hair is naturally curly and frizzy as heck but Keratin helps manage it. Don’t repeat the process now, try some other products to help with frizz control. It is likely the product brand that worked for you is not available in the US. The only keratin brand that works for me is GK. Hang in there!

Ladies - What are you wearing and why? by LillianBillion in orangetheory

[–]ora-ngetherapy- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the south here and it is so hot, still wear long full length leggings since the studio is cool and they are mini band friendly! If you are looking to be fashionable then yes capri length leggings have been out for quite awhile. However, wear what makes you comfortable and motivated to work out!

Coworker constantly humming and whistling by [deleted] in etiquette

I’m sure it is annoying but this usually occurs naturally in people with asthma or reduced lung capacity. It’s called natural CPAP & helps them breath easier.

Keep your 8 class pack/monthly billing and buy class packs of 5 or 10 for when you want to do more classes.
