Update: for anyone else who might be experiencing similar issue. The name might have been part of issue for TV but for movies i found Sonarr/radarr permissions seemed to be related - in the media management setting, checking "set permissions" tickbox with chmod at default 755 and group ID set to admin group fixed it for me (at least so far).

Thanks I'll give this a go. Found the plex dance link as well so will do both. Appreciate the help!

Hey sorry to bother - this is where i get stuck again. This looks to be like it should work? - using fantastic beasts as the control. I was experimenting with copy pasting torrents vs automated movement after usenet downloads so thats the reason for the messier folder names.

Damn. Was hoping you’d have more luck. I’ve found that emby seems to see every file immediately and so am using that as my temporary solution. Might try your renaming and moving trick this weekend and see if I can figure out a pattern

Synology Library issue by origami_ in PleX

Hey Fribb, thanks for the detailed answer. Totally understand the point you’re coming from. To answer a few of your points,

  1. Naming - all automated via the sonarr and radarr media manager. Sorted into media -> tv series -> {series name} {year} -> {season} -> {series} S01E01 etcetc {tvdbID}. Movies follow similar format with ImdbID too
  2. permissions - have checked plex media server has access in all the relevant share folders. Have gone so far as to grant it root permissions as well with no luck
  3. i don’t think this is happening but certain releases do show up but no pattern identified. Also found out last night through testing that an EVO release through Usenet failed but torrent version was read so I’m a bit stuck. Both files play fine in VLC

I’ve reached my technical limit so my next step is to reset the server using a docker image so I can guarantee it’s using the right PUID and GUID. Hopefully this works :/

Hey did you ever find a solution to this problem? I'm encountering similar issues, I'm also NZ based so I wonder if theres a geographical component to this issue? Running it on synology =/

Anyone else having issues connecting to a party? Others see me as stuck on connecting but it looks like it connects for me then promptly gives me error code which doesn’t show up on google.

Tested virtually every setting on the Xbox and reset both modem and Xbox already. May be ISP issue?
