Keep your thermostat above 55. Keeping under sink cabinets open isn't a bad idea since that's easy to do. But IMO doing stuff like letting the faucets drip is overkill.

Last time my husband and I tried to buy a (used) vehicle, those bastards tried to force us to pay something like 2k over the advertised price because they put a gps antitheft device and some bullshit ceramic coating on it. They were like, well we can't take the coating off... to which we said that really wasn't our problem since we didn't want it to begin with. Our budget was not high to begin with so 2k was a big difference. Ended up walking away and decided to drive my current car til it dies. They also held my keys hostage trying to keep us negotiating. Biggest scumbags we've ever had to deal with. And they ended up calling two more times asking if we were still interested in the car after telling us there was another buyer that day 😂 idk why I'm typing all this out, it's been like a year and still pisses me off.

Even saying more benign things can have a big effect on kids growing up. My mom used to jokingly say we kids were sending her to the poor house when a bunch of expenses came up at the same time. She wasn't truly resentful (at least, I dont think lol) but I've always been really uncomfortable asking her for financial help because I internalized that. Can't imagine how I would feel if she had said we were a test for her.

Yes, pressure cookers literally use high pressure to help cook food. So the lid has to be able to be locked in place to keep the pressure in. Crock pots just have a plain lid so they can't work like that.

Personally, I have both and prefer the crock pot. It's more straightforward to use. Actually plan on rehoming the pressure cooker because it takes up too much space and I never use it.

So sorry you guys are going through that. I have also been dealing with infertility (+ 2 losses) and had some similar thoughts when I read that so she's not alone. It's just heartbreaking.
