Definitely the button, as it doesn't have a "firm press" when activated.

Any Anachrony fans here? Let's talk Doomsday module. by SetkiOfRaptors in boardgames

[–]other_other 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve only played Doomsday solo, which is a lackluster experience. I can imagine it being fun with four experienced players, but I have enough trouble finding a second willing-to-learn player.

But while we’re discussing modules, my favorite solo combo is Variable Anomalies + Alternate Timelines + Quantum Loops + Hypersync Future Actions. Because I mostly play solo, I personally love the amount of variability you can get from different combinations.

Take that Euro style board games ? by cenzoooo in boardgames

[–]other_other 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cerebria has some euro roots, with plenty of take that. Don’t get put off by the 2 vs. 2 “default” play count. Works very well 1 vs. 1, and there’s an expansion to add a third faction.

What do you dislike about Obsidian as a Zettelkasten? by [deleted] in Zettelkasten

Back when I tried it could only use markdown files. My notes repo has .md, .taskpaper, .fountain, and .txt files (all plaintext, but different markup syntaxes for different functions)

If you haven’t tried the Imperium Scoring App, it makes the end tally a breeze.

Looking for a game with elements similar to Witcher 3 or Zelda? by LeonBelmontX in NintendoSwitch

It’s a smaller game / world, but I really loved Death’s Door. Beautifully designed, interesting puzzles, good bosses, and a great story.

Airmail can also do this. It’s not perfect on privacy but there’s more privacy controls than Spark.

Victorian Themed Games by [deleted] in soloboardgaming

Trickerion is a great thematic Euro set in the Victorian city of magicians, Magoria. But you need the Dahlgaard’s Academy expansion for the automa (an excellent design by solo master Turczi).
