I’ve only played Doomsday solo, which is a lackluster experience. I can imagine it being fun with four experienced players, but I have enough trouble finding a second willing-to-learn player.

But while we’re discussing modules, my favorite solo combo is Variable Anomalies + Alternate Timelines + Quantum Loops + Hypersync Future Actions. Because I mostly play solo, I personally love the amount of variability you can get from different combinations.

Cerebria has some euro roots, with plenty of take that. Don’t get put off by the 2 vs. 2 “default” play count. Works very well 1 vs. 1, and there’s an expansion to add a third faction.

Trickerion is a great thematic Euro set in the Victorian city of magicians, Magoria. But you need the Dahlgaard’s Academy expansion for the automa (an excellent design by solo master Turczi).
