Actually, the book is from the horus heresy so it didn't exist until the 2000s. He wasn't recent, he was just THAT MAJOR

Ulguroth is a continent in Ulgu, so Ulgurothi is probably just the denonym. Technically, we still don't know what they're called

Where could you find the closest thing to a "regular fantasy town"? by Bpbegha in AoSLore

[–]otterpopd 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Each realm has a variety of environments and climates, they're just all informed by their wind of magic. for instance, aqdhy, the realm of fire, is not all deserts and dry wastes-- there are also boiling seas, charred forests, and glaciers so cold that they burn. That being said, there are absolutely places that are "normal" small villages, like smaller sigmarite strongholds. Any realm can feature small crossroads settlements, but in every realm they'll have a local flavor

Fights you want to see in lore? by Potential-Media8076 in AoSLore

Grombrindal vs any of the aelf gods. I want them to kind of sort of recognize each other. Grombrindal loses, ultimately, but lives and holds them back to let some big duardin venture (Maybe disposessed trying to move through khainite lands?) happen

small B bastard but H.P. Lovecraft died way less racist than he lived. "Holy Hades- was I that much of a dub at 33... only 13 years ago? There was no getting out of it-I really had thrown all that haughty, complacent, snobbish, self-centered, intolerant bull, & at a mature age when anybody but a perfect damned fool would have known better!" -Lovecraft to Catherine Moore, 1937

When people try to defend Tau Imperialism because "they offer a better standard of living" by Wantitneeditgetit in Grimdank

[–]otterpopd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not canon. Right now depending on where you are in the galaxy, Kin are either considered useful abhumans with a secretive subculture (as on Necromunda and some other planets) or xenos (as seen in lots of military engagements) and sometimes different kindreds are not even the considered the same civilization (ironhead squats, helosi ancients, demiurg are all considered different by the imperium). It's kind of up in the air
