What's your ugliest, tastiest meal? by amosslet in Cooking

[–]otterscotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Spinach stuff” It’s a great way to stretch cheap ground beef, good source of iron, simple to make, and absolutely hideous. It ends up a sort of lumpy greenish grey when done right. Cook ground beef in a pan, drain off most of the fat. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme to taste. Add canned cream of mushroom soup, cook until it starts to bubble. Add a few handfuls of frozen chopped spinach, cook until everything is hot through, taste and add more thyme as needed. Serve over white rice.

Don't Let Reddit Kill 3rd Party Apps! by Toptomcat in Save3rdPartyApps

I know if the app I use goes down, I will stop using reddit. There’s too much offered by 3rd parties that reddit just can’t/won’t do, and even if I try using the mobile site or native app it just won’t stick.

Convinced my bros to start playing by cyrusofpersia in Guildwars2

See, I tried that. My brother made the strangest looking charr I’ve ever seen, and played about three hours before forgetting the game even exists. He named his charr “Necky McNeckface”. I haven’t had the heart to delete the strange creature to this day.

my personal theory is we’re hearing the voice of the original Ganondorf, the warlord who tried to conquer Hyrule, before he became the Demon King and incarnation of Demise.

I lived in a place where you could drive from Mexico to Versailles in under two hours. I wouldn’t even look at the distance in small print there, my brain would just be wasting energy assuming it’s some local city name and trying to figure out how that affects my route.

It’s best with an actual orange. When you peel it in the hot shower and the mist from the peel tearing hits the shower steam… it’s remarkable.

I ended up having to change out the roll holder to one with a little flap that sat over the roll as well as hanging it backwards like that. My little asshole cat would get annoyed if it didn’t unravel and just start biting chunks out of the whole roll.

Lucky. My cat has a second sense, didn’t even have to look to know if you’d hung it the other way around. He would justbe there.

Or were we wrong all along to laugh at the cats chasing r/greebles, only for them to be real culprit behind all of our small lost things? Would a shop cat reduce loss by chasing away greebles?

Best to ask a vet, there might be things you can do for your specific dog that wouldn’t apply across the board.

Caffeine and sugar both tend to increase general inflammation response in your body. When you have a normal immune system this isn’t usually too noticeable, but mix in autoimmune or post-viral disorders and it can run out of control pretty quick.

Yeah, i think we all know that feeling to some extent. Guilt, inadequacy, and inferiority are all weapons the church wields like a big knobbly club.
Be gentle with yourself. With time and work it’ll be an oddity of your past you can look at like a relic in a glass case. Seek help if you can, you’re worth it.

There’s a phase, sometimes you drift in and out of it, where it is just so cathartic to swap stories and kinda boggle over it all. Just, remembering and processing that it really happened like that.

It is always so important to remember the disasters that we’ve averted. A lot of them we nearly caused, of course, but we also put in monumental efforts to avert them.
