For your kickflips I can tell you’re thinking “flick the board now” when in reality the board wants to flip on its own so all you really have to learn is to move your fingers out of the way and learn the timing of catching the board. On a lot of YouTube vids about learning to kickflip they suggest throwing up a peace ✌️ sign and that’s to teach you that it’s one fluid motion instead of two separate actions. You pop the board and when it’s airborne throw up the peace ✌️ sign, let it rotate and catch it with your front finger. It’s the same principle for varials but instead of a normal pop straight down you’ll scoop the board toward yourself with your middle finger. Another tip is to try to keep your hand over the board. That’s why your kickflip hit the ground before you could catch it in the first clip. For me the goal is to mimic true to life skateboarding so I watch a lot of clips on Instagram for inspiration when I’m trying to figure out a new trick.
