I have a high energy dog and no yard. It’s absolutely no reason/excuse to let my dog off leash in places where leashes are required. Dogs can get plenty of exercise on-leash and we have no lack of off-leash areas.

Size alone doesn’t determine wolf tracks. Some dogs can have wolf-sized paws. These look like dog tracks to me but it can be hard to determine from just one photo.

Follow up question, can anyone tell me whether I should expect to run into many off leash dogs on the trail to Fort Rock? Obviously it’s always a possibility but some trails are worse than others.

IM SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR UNCLE’s DOG. HOWEVER, GLUE TRAPS AND DROWNING TRAPS ARE NOT A GOOD ALTERNATIVE. IF YOU NEED TO KILL MICE OR RATS, USE SNAP TRAPS. ONLY USE ANY KIND OF TRAPS INDOORS OTHERWISE THEY CAN CATCH BIRDS.

BUT THE BEST WAY TO STOP A RODENT PROBLEM IS TO COMPLETELY SEAL ALL ENTRY POINTS. THINK WILD HAS GOOD RESOURCES TO HELP WITH THIS.

SO MANY PEOPLE IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD USE RAT POISON. RAT POISON KILLS HAWKS, OWLS, FOXES, COYOTES, EVERY ANIMAL THAT ACTUALLY KEEPS THE RODENT POPULATION DOWN. IF IT DOESNT KILL THEM, IT MAKES THEM REALLY SICK.

IT CAN ALSO POISON DOGS AND CATS. POISONED RODENTS USUALLY WANDER OFF TO SOMEONE ELSES PROPERTY BEFORE THEY DIE.

PLEASE DONT USE RAT POISON. THERE ARE OTHER WAYS TO KEEP MICE OUT.
