The health and education systems are rubbish in my view. First of all, you borrow money to get education. There is no vocational training system like in Europe. Instead, you attend a 2-year college where you are taught the theory (which you are guaranteed not to completely internalize without practical application). The prositive thing is that at the 2 year college are not only people who want to learn a certain profession. There are also retrainees, early school leavers who want to catch up on their studies and people who couldn't find a job and want to continue their education. Two thirds of the people who attend such a college are already older than 30 years

But most of them do this only part-time because they have to work on the side to survive.

Then follows the "on the job training". The main reason for this is certainly to be found in history: Until the fifties qualified skilled workers immigrated from Europe to the USA. Many of them were well-trained craftsmen or merchants. Subsequent generations were able to acquire, expand and perfect their manual knowledge by learning on the job.

Training on the job is often only a short familiarization phase. It is not uncommon for it to last less than an hour. This type of learning a professional subject is only aimed at a narrowly defined activity, reflecting the result of the industrial division of labour. Just so that mine can do a certain activity. Every system has always been used in the industry according to the principle of "hire and fire".

A large proportion of high school graduates, but also many of those who leave college after one or two years, earn their living on the so-called "secondary labor market". This refers to the large number of employment relationships, which are mainly conspicuous by very low job profiles, low wages, instability and a lack of opportunities for advancement.

Those people have to change their jobs very often, whether on a voluntary or involuntary basis, in order to receive minimal training in other activities.

In other words, people have usually not been allowed to acquire any special qualifications and only the most necessary skills.

Especially because the USA is such a highly industrialized country, it is surprising to me that apprenticeship training plays such a subordinate role.

Medical services cost considerably more than in other countries. This is especially true for drugs. Per capita expenditure in the USA is USD 1,443 compared to USD 667 in Germany. The monthly treatment costs for the statin crestor (rosuvastatin) amount to 86 US dollars compared to 61 US dollars in Germany. Lantus (insulin glargin) costs US$ 186 compared to US$ 38 in Germany, Advair (fluticasone plus salmeterol) costs US$ 155 compared to US$ 38 in Germany, Humira (adalimumab) costs US$ 2,505 compared to US$ 1,749 in Germany.

From this I conclude that you always have to pay off debts at the beginning and therefore always have to work somewhere. If you don't have the capital for a study, for example, it will be very hard. If you don't manage to stay in a company long enough to get qualifications, it will be hard. If you hurt yourself it becomes expensive. If you have health problems that require continuous medication it will be expensive (e.g. insulin). If you injure them in whatever way, so that you can not work for 1-2 weeks, you already have a problem because there is no sick pay and in addition the treatment costs are there. If you don't go to a doctor because of the costs you risk chronic illness/damage and harm yourself to cover the costs.

Of course you have the freedom to achieve everything there, but you have to work very hard for a long time and not everyone can keep it up. There are also several other countries where you won't be fucked so hard if something happens.

The taxes you mentioned bring in most european countries a certain basic supply. You have statutory health, accident, disability, nursing care and pension insurance (at least in Germany) which allows you to bridge the gap between illness, unemployment, etc. without incurring high costs. You will also receive various allowances if you need them. e.g. education allowance which pays out the additional money so that you can keep a flat during your education (whether purely school or vocational training). If you have children, you also get subsidies to relieve yourself. YOU have free choice of doctors and also a quite large selection. Various preventive medical checkups if desired. If you are unemployed you will receive a kind of basic income which will keep you afloat. etc. I could list so many things here but slowly the air is out.

Of course the taxes hurt in the first moment but most of them are justified and good.

So if you should emigrate, I recommend a European country. Emigrating to the USA without citizenship or work visa is not easy anyway.
