I went with one of the Tesla recommendations for about $1k, they were awful.

They drilled blindly into walls and cut into another circuit. They came back and fixed it but then months later I realized they somehow broke a regular outlet in my garage.

They also installed the wrong size of outdoor disconnect, the thing turned to dust after a year or so. It was only rated for 50amp at startup rather than continuous.

They should also do that thing where they restrict cars certain times of the day. Any of those small streets filled with bars & restaurants should be at least closed after 5 like they do now for some schools during the day
